7: Moving in?

Shawn and Destinee had brought me food and it's a good thing they did. I was hungry. Destinee stayed for awhile but went back home to help her parents. She said she'd come by a little later. Shawn and I were watching some television program when he paused it.

"Why-

"Ava I have to tell you something" he sighed.

"Okay? Is it what happened to me?" I asked.

"Yeah. Just promise me something first" he said.

"Okay?"

"Promise me when I tell you this that you won't go back to your old ways"

"Shawn I promise. I was having a hard time losing Violet and that's not who I am anymore"

"Okay. So when you came to the recording studio Brayden was hired to be there. He and Jace had this big set up to kidnap you and make sure you got revenge for getting him arrested. Melinda was hired as well. Brayden gave you a pill that would knock you out long enough to get you to Jace" he explained gripping my hand.

What? Jace did this?

"Jace?" I asked.

Shawn nodded.

"Look I want to protect you from everything that could ever hurt you. I want to make us forever. I can't exactly protect you if you're in a different house so I was wondering if you wanted to move in with me?" Shawn asked with a hopeful look.

I didn't know what to say. I mean we just got back together but at the same time I wanted to be with Shawn.

"Moving in?" I asked.

"Ava I'm sorry maybe I shouldn't-

"I would love to" I smiled.

"You will?!"

I nodded. Shawn hopped on top of me and started kissing all over my face.

"Shawn" I giggled.

"My baby is coming to live with meeee!" He sang loudly.

I laughed at him and he kept singing loudly.

"You got me rocking from side to side!!!!!!" He sang.

"Okay Grande" I said.

"Girl you know I'm as good as Ari!" He replied sassily with an imaginary hair flip.

After Shawn's mini concert we just layed in my bed talking about all the stuff we could do when we moved in together. I wanted a pool and he wanted a music room.

"We can start looking around soon but I have an apartment here we can stay in" Shawn smiled.

"Wait so why were you in a hotel room?" I asked.

"Just a change of scenery"

"Weirdo"

"Dork"

I couldn't wait to live with Shawn. We could finally be happy and focus on us.

"Hi guys" a nurse said walking in. "Ava you can leave when you want. Everything is cleared"

"I should probably tell my parents about us and moving"

"Yeah that's a good idea" Shawn replied.

"Do you want to come with me?"

"I don't know Av. Your dad and I aren't on the best terms" he shrugged.

"Please. I need you there with me" I said with the pouty face.

"Fine. Only because you're cute"

"Yay! Thank you baby!" I clapped kissing his cheek.

"Yeah yeah"
"Baby it'll be okay. I promise"Shawn assured me as we sat in the driveway.

I don't know how they'll react when I tell them I'm moving out. My mom isn't the one I have to worry about because unlike my father she accepts the fact I'll be with Shawn over everything. My dad is the one who's making me nervous. Especially after Shawn stood up to him like that. I took a deep breath and got out of the car.

"Hey guys" I said walking in the house.

Mom was cleaning and catering to Gina's every need. Spoiled. What? I didn't say it.

"Hey honey. Hey Shawn" mom smiled.

"Aba!!" Gina squealed.

"Hey little one" I giggled.

"Hey Hannah. How are you?" Shawn asked hugging my mom.

"I'm good hun. How about you?"

"I'm doing good"

"Hi daddy" I said when he came in the room.

"Hey sweetie" he replied kissing my forehead.

Shawn said nothing and looked nervous.

"Shawn are you ready?" I asked.

He turned to me and smiled.

"Let's do this" he said.

"Okay so Shawn and I have realized that we fight so much because we worry about the other and we also want to protect each other so we've decided to move in together" I told them.

Their expressions were blank and unreadable.

"Ava you're eighteen years old and I can't tell you what to do anymore. You're an adult now and you need to make decisions that you see fit so if this is it I'll support you" my mom said holding her hands up

"Dad?"

"Well you know I didn't like the whole idea of you being with Shawn because of that summer" he started making me lose all hope. "But.....after he stood up to me at the hospital and explained how he felt I realized how much he cares so like your mother said, if you think this is best then I'll support you".

Happiness and relief flooded through me.

"I love you guys. So so much" I said hugging my parents.

"We love you too Kiddo. Shawn come on! You're apart of this family now" my mom said.

So it's official. Shawn and I are moving in together. We can truly focus on making us work.....
