8: what did you say?

{1 month later}
"Hey Av! Where do you want this?" Destinee shouted from the kitchen.

"Just leave it on the counter I'll get it!" I shouted back from the bathroom.

Shawn and I finally found the perfect house and today we officially moved in. Destinee came by to help and I'm glad she did because I've been feeling a bit under the weather lately. I bit my nail anxiously as I stared at the life changing item in front of me. A pregnancy test. I didn't know how I felt about possibly being pregnant again after Violet. I don't know if I could go through possibly losing it. I don't know how Shawn would react either or my parents. I'm only nineteen. I can only imagine the fear my mom had when she found out about Caleb.

"Ava are you okay?" Destinee asked knocking on the door.

"Ummm yeah I just uhhh had to change my tamp-

"Whoa TMI!" She laughed walking away. "Ohh I made some food if you want!".

My phone timer buzzed and I quickly scooped the tests up. All positive. What? How? When? Then it hit me. The night when Shawn and I went to Oheras......I don't know how to feel. All I know is there isn't any turning back.

"Ava what took you so long?" Destinee asked as she continued putting dishes away.

"I.....I'm pregnant" I said blankly.

Destinee dropped a plate and looked at me in shock. Thank god it was plastic.

"Ava that's incredible!!" She replied happily. "Are you happy?".

"I don't know. I mean I don't want what happened to Vi to happen again and I'm so young and-

"Ava I know you're scared and I would be too but your getting a second chance" she said taking my hand.

She was right. I was getting another chance to have a baby and be a great mom.

"I'm having a baby" I whispered.

"Congrats babe" Destinee said hugging me.

A tear drop escaped my eyes as I pictured my life with Shawn and the baby. We were going to be a family.

"I have to tell Shawn but I need to tell him in a cute way".

"You could always do what Becky did on Full house to tell uncle Jesse" Destinee giggled.

"Hand me that pizza box"

Destinee looked at me in confusion but obliged. I grabbed the tests, the box and a sharpie. I placed the tests in the box and wrote "and we add one more slice...."

Perhaps it's a bit cheesy but it'll work. {I'm sorry I had too!!😂😂}

Destinee and I sat and talked about the baby and names and other things until finally Shawn and the guys walked in.

"AVVVVV!!!!" Shawn's friend and mine, Daniel Skye, squealed attacking me in a hug.

"Dannnyyyyy!" I squealed back.

"Aye! Watch it Skye! She's still my girl" Shawn chuckled.

Daniel rolled his eyes and stood up.

"Are you guys hungry? I have pizza" I smiled.

"Yeah I'm starved. The place looks amazing by the way" Shawn replied kissing me quickly.

I grabbed the pizza box and we all went into the living room. Shawn opened the box and he looked at me for a second.

"I'm pregnant!!" I said excitedly.

"What did you say?"

Ava and I moved into our house today and it was a great feeling. I was happy to see our first little home. A home we could be us in and make memories in. When I walked through the front door I saw Ava chatting with Destinee in the living room. She looked excited about something. God Ava is beautiful. So so beautiful. Ava had asked if we were hungry because she had gotten pizza. I had been running around doing some moving stuff and of course I was starving. Ava brought the pizza box to the living room and she seemed more excited now. I opened the box and there wasn't any pizza....there was however a pregnancy test and a note that read "and we add one more slice...." I was shocked to say the least. I mean I don't know how to react to it. We just moved in to the house and just got back together.

"I'm pregnant!" She said with a huge smile.

I looked at her for a moment.

"What did you say?" I asked.

"Shawn I'm, we're having a baby" she replied looking happy as ever.

"I.....I'm sorry I have to go" I said standing up and grabbing my car keys.

After telling Shawn the news he said he had to go and left. He actually left!!! How could he!!!!

"Uh I think I'll head out. See ya" Daniel said rushing out of the house.

I felt the brims of my eyes water so I ran into Shawn and i's bedroom. I took a seat on the edge of the bed and tried to process what was happening. I expected Shawn to be happier about the whole thing but he wasn't. He was the opposite.

"I'm so sorry baby" I whispered.

I heard a knock on the door and right now company wasn't what I wanted.

"Go away!" I yelled.

"Come on Av. It's just me" Destinee said softly.

"Come in"

Destinee sauntered into my room and took a seat beside of me. She wrapped her arms around me and let me cry into her shoulder.

"Why?! Why can't anything be perfect!!?" I sobbed loudly.

"There's no such thing as perfect Ava" she sighed.

"Then why doesn't he want me or the baby!?".

"Ava I don't know if he does or doesn't but all I know is, you've got a baby on the way and you have to be there for him or her no matter what. With or without Shawn" she said.

"I don't want to do this alone Des" I sighed.

"Hey! You won't have to! I'm going to be there for you" she assured me.

"Really?"

She nodded.

"That's what Bestfriends are for"

I was to glad to have a Bestfriend like Destinee and despite how much I missed Shawn I feel better about having this baby....
