She couldn't breathe, couldn't speak. She couldn't even see past the tears making their way down her face as she ran away from who she thought was her friend. Her laughter rang in her ears, and she held her hands against her head to block the sound out. Her heart felt like it was being squeezed in her chest.
When she was far enough away from anyone, she slowed down. She had managed to run into the woods without thinking. The darkness surrounded her, and the cool air sent chills down her spine.
She felt herself collapse, and let out a scream of emotions. She had thought she could trust the other girl. She thought she actually had a friend for once. She thought she could finally be happy...
In the end, it was just another betrayal.
