She leaned back against the wall, her chest tight with emotions that she couldn't name at that exact moment.
It had been such a long, tiring day. She felt ragged and torn into pieces by the time she'd settled down in the park where she currently was. She knew she should go home, but she didn't think she could handle seeing her parents or younger siblings with the way she was feeling currently.
A shiver ran through her body from the cold, autumn breeze that brushed against her skin. She opened her eyes, unsure of when she had closed them, and took in the brilliant, fiery colors of the changing leaves on the trees and ground around her.
As she watched a leaf swirl to the ground, picked up by the wind from its perch on the tree's branch, she suddenly felt relieved.
It would be okay, she was sure of it.
