He stretched, listening and feeling as his spine cracked in a few places. A small hiss escaped him as he felt the stiffness in his muscles.
He really hated working out.
He heard the quiet snore to his right, and upon glancing over, he couldn't help the smile that curled over his features.
He'll never understand how he became so lucky to have this beautiful man not only share his bed, but his life.
He watched as the sunlight played over his husband's smooth, caramel skin, casting shadows in each hollow and dip.
He knew he should get up. He had to work, and he had to make breakfast before he left. However, sleep and the warm embrace of his lover called him back under the covers. Back into the safe circle of their love.
He could miss today. They'd be fine without him.
