This story is based off of the word 33%. Warnings that apply: None.
He watched his teacher warily, concerned at the way she was walking towards him with his test score.
She seemed both amused, and ashamed at him. He groaned internally when she laid his paper on his desk. Face down. The universal sign that the test had a bad grade.
He took a few moments to collect himself, listening to everyone else react to their grades.
He finally picked up his test, turning it in his hand to face him as he closed his eyes.
Taking a breath, opening his eyes slowly.
He cursed, hanging his head as he mentally said goodbye to the entire world.
33%. He scored 33%.
