"Bria, hurry up! We're going to be late for orientation," yells Bria's best friend, Hope.
"I'm on my way done, now!" Bria yells back. Bria and Hope were going to Kansas University for college and could not wait to have the best experience of their lives. On the way to Kansas, they talk about what they were going to do, and what class they would take together.
When they got to the campus, they went to the desk to sign in, find out what dorms are theirs, and get the key. While the clerk was finding their rooms, Hope turns around and saw a cute, tall, and blue eyed guy. She says to Bria, "Hey, look at that hottie. Come on, let's go talk to him." Hope walks straight up to him and says, "I'm Hope."
"And I'm not interested in some puffy, short brat!" the boy scowls back.
Now disgusted by the boy, Bria walks up to him, looks him in the eyes, and says, "Listen hear, jerk! You don't have the right say that to her face. Heck! You didn't have the right to say that at all! How would you like it if she called you a pathetic, sickening fool? That maybe harsh, but hey! It wouldn't matter how mean it was because it would be true!" With that, Bria turns on heel and walks off toward to Hope, who stares at her with her jaw dropped. The boy gave Bria a little smile. Without stopped to talk to Hope, Bria closes Hope's mouth while they go back to the desk and got their room numbers. They got different rooms in the same building.
Bria and Hope decide to take a walk around the campus before heading to their dorms. Bria has no interest in talking about what happened, but Hope has other plans. "Bria, why did you do that?" Hope ask.
"Because he was being rude to you," Bria replys.
"And your point is...,"Hope says.
Bria stops walking at turns to look at Hope. "Are you okay,Hope because I'm pretty sure I just explained my point."
"Bria, he was talking to me!"
"He was turning you down, Hope. And insulting you! At the same time!"
Did you see how HOT he was? And the way he smiled at you after you walked away. Talk about dreamy, right?"
"Ew no! I was trying to help you, but if he's what you want, then go for it."
Oh no! I'm leaving him to you."
"I don't want him. Gross."
"Not right now, of course not. But soon, you will."
"Ok, well I'm done discussing this with you anymore. I'm going to find my dorm. You can finish your weird dreams and twisted fantasies about him later. Hopefully, we won't see him again. Let's go."
As Bria walks to her room, she thought about the rude boy. About how he could have the audacity to say those things to Hope when he didn't even know her. She couldn't understand why Hope got mad that she stood up to the boy for her.
When she got to her room and unlocks the door, she found the same boy she was thinking about unpacking. "What the heck are you doing here?!" Bria said.
The boy looks at Bria, smiles, and says, "I guess I'm your roommate."
