The next morning, when Bria and Bryce got up, they smelt something sweet and savory. They went into the kitchen. They looked at each other in surprise to find Roger cooking a whole breakfast. Considering the fact that the first words out of Roger's mouth was, "Good morning!" Bryce wondered why Roger was being so nice and generous

"Mornin'. I have to get to my Political Science class, so I will just grab my chocolate buttercream icing out the fridge and be on my way," Bria said.

Roger frowns at her and said, "But I made this breakfast."

"It's the thought that counts. Bye Roger. Bye jerk," Bria said halfway out the door.

Roger stared at the door. "Isn't she wonderful?" he said.

"Yeah. She's amazing." Bryce replied.

"How's life?"

"Couldn't be better, my best friend is dating my roommate and acting all cheerful in the morning on a school day."

"You said you didn't care."

"Didn't care about what exactly? Because I'm sure I would care if you asked me if you could cook breakfast in my dorm and be all happy in the morning."

"No. You said you didn't care if I asked Bria out."

"Oh, that. Yeah well, I didn't think you would stay with her."

"You said you didn't like her."

"No,YOU said I didn't like her."

"Do you?"

"I don't know. Does when I'm around her, my brain stops, so I say sex jokes mean I like her?"

"Yes," Roger takes a pause before continuing, "I'll break up with her for you."

"No, don't. She really likes you."

"And I really like her back."

"Don't like her to prove a point to me. Like her for the right reasons. Think about your reasons." Roger thought for a moment, then turned his presence towards Bryce. "Okay, now name them."

"Okay, she's nice, sweet, caring, considerate, generous, grateful, kind, warm-hearted-"

"Okay. Stop right there 'cause you could go on for days talking about girls in general, and I got a class to get to. What makes Bria 'your one and only'?" Bryce ask again, putting air quotations around 'your one and only'.

"I don't know. What are yours?"

"She's abet, able, bright, realistic, and gracious."

"I don't see her the way you do. I still think I should break up with her and recommend you."

"Break up with her if you think you should, but don't recommend me. I want to do this on my own."
