True Loves Kiss

chapter 8

Jamie was rushed to the hospital; he could hear everything but couldn't open his eyes. He wanted to talk but he couldn't open his mouth either.

He could feel the touch of the men and women who where rushing him to an emergency room. He faintly heard a girls voice sayings," Is he ok?!?..He's my boyfriend and if I have to I'll go with him!"

He instinctively knew it was Audrey. Unless it was a girl that sounded so similar to him.

He could hear the squeaking of the wheels as it was going down the hallway. He heard a door abruptly open and swing back an forth after he went through it.

Something went onto his face and he breathed it in. It made him very sleepy but he slowly tried to open his eyes.

"Ummmm, we might have a slight probably Dr. Johnson."

"What's wrong Amy?"

"He's trying to wake himself up, like he's opening his eyes."

"Make him breathe more of that air in. He'll fall asleep soon enough, and then we'll start the operation."

Jamie soon fell asleep, and he knew he wouldn't wake up for at least four to six hours later.

The doctors knew they would be working on Jamie for at least four hours to make sure they didn't miss any piece of glass on his body.
---------------Six Hours Later------------

Jamie woke up in the recovery room with Audrey, his mom and dad, his step parents, Tyler, and someone he recognized but couldn't quite place a name on her.

His mom and dad said their love and kisses and goodbyes before they left after he woke up. Tyler sat down when he finally woke up and went to get some sleep.

Jamie thought that he really didn't matter, but he had flowers and balloons everywhere in his recovery room at the hospital. He really did matter.

Audrey looked at him and blinked a couple times to make sure he was really wake, before she went and told the nurse. She ran out of the room and Jamie seemed worried as to why she did that. He went to say hey to Tyler and Selena the last two in the room, but he couldn't open his mouth.

He moved his tongue to feel what was in his mouth but that didn't even work.

The nurse came in with a clip board. She was beautiful. She had short brown hair with red hues covering it. She had dark brown eyes but turned hazel when the light hit them. She looked small but fit. She was about 5 foot 3 inches. She had a small butt that fit her body perfectly. Her breasts weren't very big either, but she seemed to be a 32 B. She had gauges but small enough to wear earrings for work. She had no tattoos leaving her body perfectly smooth and desirable. She was white, but he noticed a slight tan to certain areas of her body.

He couldn't help but like what he saw. He knew Audrey noticed him checking her out, but his heart belong to Audrey and no else. Or so he thought.

"Hello Jamie, I'm nurse Madi. So right now you are under recovery due to a terrible accident that occurred a little over six hours ago. You had glass in your chest area along as your abdominal area and on your face. The impact from the steering wheel and the side of the drivers side door caused your jaw to break in many parts of the bone."

Audrey stood there intently listening to what Nurse Madi had to say about what happened. But she cut her off to ask her a few questions about his jaw and when he'll be able to have a normal life again.

Nurse Madi explained how long the recovery may take if his white body cells work properly and fast enough to have him recover in less than three months.

"Anyways, you have a fractured wrist on your left side as well as a broken ankle on your left side. The glass that was in your chest broke a few ribs and tore muscle tissues around the top part of your rib cage. The abdominal area may take longer than three months because your stomach had a small cut that had to be placed with medicine to encourage the white blood cells to go straight there to help you."

Jamie nodded intently as he listen to every word carefully before having a few tears fall down his face. It burned on the cuts that were on his face.

Audrey brought a notepad and pen out for Jamie to write what he wants. She tried to smile and act like everything was gonna be ok after he recovered. But something was telling her that it would never be normal again. She ignored every red sign that came up in her face telling her to stop.

Jamie wrote down You don't have to stay here, I'll be fine if you all wanna leave and get some rest.
It took a few minutes for him to write it but when he finished he handed it to Audrey. Her smiled slowly dropped but she tried to hold it together.

She nodded as the years slowly came down her face. She woke Tyler up showing him what Jamie wrote. Tyler told Selena that it was time to leave. Selena and Audrey held hands crying and they walked out.

The nurse walked back in to check his vitals and how he was doing. He couldn't help but think she was cute. She stood out just like Audrey did.

He wrote down something that made Nurse Madi giggle and smile. She nodded and kissed him on the forehead before continuing her job.
