"um who are you?" mrs. xu spoke first, putting down the control so she could have all her attention on the smiling boy infront of her.

"i'm junhu-" but minghao had come out and clasped his hand over his mouth, shutting him up instantly.

"he's junhui, um he's from my science class ya we have a project soon," the frightened boy rushed not even comprehending the lie he just said.

"school hasn't even started yet," his mother seemed confused. was minghao even taking a science this year? but she knew he would never lie to him.

"exactly, we want to start now so we don't have to do anything then," he wrapped his lie with a smile and the "just right" symbol. minghao was never really studious so his mother was hesitant but she thought he was finally going to take school seriously since it was his senior year.

"oh that sounds okay, hi junhui. minghao use to have a toy doll with that name," she stood up to shake his hand and jun was beaming at the contact since he was still getting used to his human abilities.

"yaa i'm that d-" but minghao was already pulling him outside.

"we have to go buy some supplies for that project bye mom," he yelled as he shoved jun out the door, but then ran to his mom, placed a kiss on her cheek and then finally exited the house

"BYE MRS. XU," jun yelled because he knew it was disrespectful to leave without saying goodbye.

at the mall

jun gasped when he first entered the mall, and then realized a high pitch scream, earning stares from many people around them. this was minghao's worst nightmare, jun was attracting attention and he didn't like it at all. so by the time minghao was finally done calming himself down, he looked around and round that jun was no where to be found.

he had lost jun.

he pulled his phone out but remembered that jun didn't even have a phone. he started running around, looking in every store that was near by but then he saw the yellowy hair and tall frame in the food court. the only problem was that he was surrounded by girls.

the popular girls that made fun of him at school.

with a deep breath minghao used the small amount of confidence he had left in life and walked over to the group.

jun smiled when he saw him and stepped closer to him, gaining a safe distance away from the girls.

"junhui come on let's go," minghao pulled on his sleeve but the girls slightly pushed his hand away.

"um he's kind of busy with us," one of them barked at him and minghao looked at the floor not wanting to make eye contact with anyone. but then he felt jun's hand enveloping itself in his.

"sorry girls i have to go but it was nice talking to you," jun was about to leave with that sentence but another girl grabbed his other hand.

"youre leaving us for minghao?" she questioned as if the boy was some unwanted pest that nobody wanted to be around.

"of course, goodbye again" jun flashed them a smile before leaving and dragging minghao. minghao looked behind him and found the girls giving him a death stare.

"junnnn why were you talking to them?" minghao finally spoke when jun had brought them into forever 21. their hands were still connected and neither of them noticed so they just stayed like that.

"oh they said i was hot but i feel okay like how did they know i was hot? can they tell my temperature by just looking at me?" jun brought minghao's hand, the one he wasn't holding, up to his forehead.

"oh my god jun," was all the other boy could say before laughing, and jun joining him. the latter didn't know what he was laughing about but he liked seeing minghao laugh for once.
