Just in case it didn't change in the last chapter, I'm changing the song due to something that happens in this chapter. Byes!

===============================================

Well, today is the day. The day of the competition. My throat was still sore, but it felt a lot better. Nothing broken, just bruised. The doctor said that I was well enough to sing tonight. Everyone at school was fussing over me, how I was, would I be able to sing, can they see the bruises, a bunch of questions and the like. I really didn't want to reply, but I did anyway.

"Do you want me to get them to shut up?" Silver had asked.

    "Yes, please." I had said.

Silver had this way of shutting people up. He would puff out his chest and then he would stare at the person asking questions real hard. They would, for some reason, shut up.

    "What'd you do?" I asked.

"I can read minds and send brain waves to them. I'm basically yelling at them in their head." Sliver shrugged.

"You have telepathy? I didn't know that." I said. "Demonstrate."

He puffed out his chest and stared at me hard. I got a little disturbed by the way he did it. Suddenly a voice got closer and closer until it was screaming in my head. It got so loud that I tried to cover my ears.

"You can't get it out of your head, you dumbass! You can't cover your ears, hoping it'll go away! I am going to tell you once, and I'm not going to tell you again, it's all inside your mind! Get a clue!!!" I heard his voice.

He went on and on, until I was pressing my ears flat against my head while trying to block it. I finally just dropped to my knees and started silently crying. Silver must've seen the look of pain on my face, because he quieted down.

"Man, I-...... I'm sorry. I- I didn't mean to hurt you, I-" his soothing voice came in my head. I felt his hand rest on my shoulder. "I didn't mean to be so harsh and loud. That's the loudest I've gotten. I'm sorry, dude."

He started rubbing my shoulder comfortingly. I cried myself to sleep. Literally. Right there in the middle of the hall. I felt Silver beside me as I woke up. He was asleep, too. I was confused. Why was Silver here? Where was I? I looked around as I sat up. My ears had a slight ringing in them. I twitched an ear.

"Oh, you're awake." A voice came from the left.

I looked to see the nurse standing there.

"Hi. Your friend said that you had had an accident." she said cheerfully.

After that, we just sat and talked. Silver woke up in the middle of the conversation and joined in.

Right now, I was getting ready for my competition tonight. Silver was standing in front of me, looking me up and down to see if I looked okay.

"I think you look pretty good." he said finally.

I smiled, then suddenly, my smile disappeared just as fast as it came. I felt a sharp pain in my belly, and it got so intense, that I was doubled over on my knees in the floor. I started panting hard. I yelled in pain, it kept giving more and more sharp pains in my body. I felt a searing heat all over.

Suddenly, I became still, gently panting, my teeth still clenched. My tail flicked. My ears twitched. I got up, hands on my knees. I felt somewhat different, but the same. I looked up at Silver, who had a terrified expression on his face.

"What?" I asked. My voice sounded deeper than usual.

"You've changed." he said in a somewhat squeaky voice.

My mouth felt different. I reach up and felt a sharp fang-like thing coming out of my mouth. It wasn't huge, like on Werehogs, but it felt pretty big. I looked down at my gloves and saw that they weren't blue with black fingertips, but they were red with black fingertips. My tail came out from behind me suddenly and I saw that it wasn't sky blue with a white tip, but it was black with a red tip.

I jumped up and looked at myself in the mirror. I had completely changed from good to bad. I was part demon. My golden eyes were rubies. My sapphire blue fur was black and the white was red. The silver buckles and cuffs on my boots and gloves were gold. My dark blue and white boots were red and black. My jacket looked torn at the edges and the cuffs of the sleeves.

"What're you going to sing, now?" Silver asked timidly.

"There is only one song that will go with this form." I growled.

    "Which is?" He smarted.

"Demons by Imagine Dragons." I said. I got on the phone and called the school.

"Hello?" came the voice on the other end.

"Hi, I would like to switch my song for tonight's competition." I said, trying to sound like my normal self.

"Alright, I've erased the previous entry, what would you like to sing?" she said.

"Demons by Imagine Dragons." I replied steadily.

"Okay, it's been entered. Thanks, bye bye!" she said.

"Thanks." I hung up the phone.

    "Let's go."
