I was about to cause a wave of water to push the car back toward us, we couldn't let her escape this time. She might forget again and get lost in a flying car, that is a moment that I don't want Ignus to ever have to go through. I knew she was scared, but she had to stay with us in order to remember. Otherwise, she would have nothing to remind her of this world, and she would forget again.
Then something happened. It all happened too quickly.
An arch of ice had stretched up onto the cloud twenty feet away from us. "Consti!" I shouted in warning. "No! This can't happen now. Ignus, please, you have to come back!" V was shouting to the car, but then her voice was suddenly stopped. Vitae and Cae had gotten hit by the icicles that were that were flying toward us, they were both knocked out cold next to me. Oh, no. None of them hit me. I tried to force the car back with a jet stream of water, but it froze as soon as it spewed from my hand. Consti had wanted to talk to me like he always does. Ice comes from water so he was kinda part of my council of Elementals. "Mare! Got your little friend back, did ya?" the tall, thick figure with ice fractals and structures sticking out of it had come on top of the bridge. I stood up taller to at least look a little braver, though I was still scared that Ignus would get away. "You need to stay away from her."
"No, you need to stay away. I don't want you trying to get her back," his harsh voice pierced the air, "Let her be."
"Remember, ice is also water," I stretched my hand out and the ice around us melted, "you have to listen to me. Your little curse is weakening, stay away from Ignus."
"Ya know what, girly? Ya'll are pushin' my buttons rights now. It's makin' me angry," he took a large, intimidating step towards me. I stood still. "Good," that one word was enough to stretch him over the limit. I braced for impact as a large ball of ice had materialized in his hand. He arched his arm back to throw it.
Suddenly, a large ball of fire appeared in front of me. Between me and Consti stood Ignus, her shoulders back and her head up high. "Stay away," she said, loud and clear. She came back! Constigrutuir pointed his other hand at her. "I don't think you know where you are though," a malevolent smile stretched across his face. Ignus stumbled back in confusion. She looked around her. "Come one, Ignus, my name is Mare!" She turned around to look at me. "That's Vitae, your friend, and Cae's right there. Please remember, please." She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Ignus turned around, "Your plan won't work, Consti." She turned back around and a wall of fire flew from her hands. She remembered! I stood up, taking a few steps away. The wall was amazingly hot, but then a ball of ice pierced through at its center.
Ignus was flung to the ground before me, and the wall disappeared. "Ignus!" I knelt next to her. "It's okay, I'm okay," she saw the fear in my eyes.
"No, you aren't!" a foot kicked Iggy's stomach and she went flying to the side again. "Ya done messed up, girly!" an icy hand gripped my arm as I was lifted off the ground. It dragged me toward the edge of the cloud, and another ice bridge formed.
"No!" I kicked and screamed against his arm, but then another hand reached for my neck. "Help!" was the last word I could squeeze out before the spots in my vision grew too large and the lights went out.
