I woke up to a splitting headache and wet clothes. A moan that was apparently mine echoed in my ears. I looked around. "V?" she was also out on the floor with her eyes closed. A gasp came from where she was, and she sat up. "Whoah! What happened? Where's Ignus?" she seemed a little frazzled.
"I don't know, and where'd Mae go?" Everything seemed so different suddenly. The sun was already starting to set. I turned around. Iggy was slumped against the side of the building, a pool of blood around her. "Ignus!" I could barely remember my run over to her, but I was almost immediately cradling her head in my arm and examining the cut on her side. "V, go get Naomi!" behind me I heard her already chanting. "Ignus wake up! Please, please, please! Please be alive!" I was pleading to her, she had to be alive.
"Here, let me take her," a warming voice appeared beside me as a wispy cloud picked her up.
"Is she going to be okay?" V was also standing next to me now.
"Yes, she is alive," Naomi put her hand onto Ignus's forehead in a healing position. The huge ball of tension in my chest immediately disappeared. She was alive. Her eyes flew open, and a flame shot out of her forehead where Naomi was putting her hand. She gasped and fell to the ground. "What happened to Mae?" she looked into my eyes searching for help.
"Whoah, are you okay?" I took her hand to help her stand up.
"Yes, yes, I'm fine," she grabbed her newly healed side, "something happened to Mae!" I couldn't help but notice that she was already caring about people she hardly knew and was scared of. "I'm serious, stop staring at me!" oh my gosh, I was...
"Where's is Mae? Mare! Mare!" V started calling behind me. Where was she? "Naomi, is she here?" I asked. Mother Nature sort of had this power that she can find anyone in the world. She was already closing her eyes. "No, she's in... Antarctica!"
"Consti got her! No..." V fell to her knees, a tear fell from her eye.
"I can't tell if she's okay or not, she's stuck in ice."
"Sorry, guys, I let this happen. I should've stopped him. From what I hear, this is all my fault that he's coming after us. Sorry," Ignus was apologizing for something she didn't know very much about.
"Hey, this is not your fault, its Consti's," a sudden wave of anger came over me as I said that last part. He did this to us. He did this to Mae. He did this to Ignus. I stormed inside. "Ignus come with me, I need to show you something."
"What?"
"We going to place an attack on Consti's right now. You need armor," we entered the hallway with the armory.
"How am I going to be prepared? I can barely use my power for very long. I-I just figured out about this world today! Right now, I don't even understand why I'm playing along with this craziness!"
"Because you are meant to. Listen, you may think that you are Agnus, but deep down your instincts belong to Ignus." I punched the code into the door in front of me.
"I guess, but I still don't know-"
"Ignus," I grabbed her shoulders, "you may not trust us right now, but we need you. You are the most important person to us- to Mae- right now. You're the only one that has a power that can go up against Consti's ice. Our team needs to be whole right now. Whenever one of us is missing or gets hurt, their element goes crazy around the world. Did you hear about all the wildfires that have been happening? That's because you haven't been there to keep them in check. The Fire and Water Benders of the world have been trying to keep it subdued but they aren't strong enough for all of it. The conflict between Fire and Ice has been too distracting, and now Water isn't going to have much control anymore. Floods are going to happen worldwide. Ignus, the world needs our team back."
She looked down at the floor as she was digesting this. Her eyes glanced up at mine, "I'll do it."
"Okay, good... good." I turned and we walked into the armory.
"Where are all the guns?" she asked, and I let out a slight giggle despite my intense anger that I had.
"We don't need any guns," I picked up the black, leather armband on the small table sitting in one of the four holders. The other three didn't have armbands because we already were using them. "This is your personal armory. Put it on," I handed it to her. She slid it over her hand. "If you press that button in the middle, your Elemental clothing should automatically come on."
"What? How is that supposed to-" she was suddenly wearing a hooded black cape, a red dress with pants underneath, long black gloves, and two swords were strapped to her back, "whoah."
"In your boots, there should be a couple of daggers too. I'm sure you'll be able to get the hang of it. We should go now, the world can't wait for us any longer."
