Falling For You

Chapter Six: Part Two

I turn to see Steven walking towards us. I pull the pimp to my face.
"Mess with me not my girl. If you hurt my girl, I hurt you." I growl. Steven pulls the pimp away from me.
"You are such an idiot Luke." He says in a waring tone.
"What? I was just having some fun." This so called Luke says. Steven growls and slaps the back of Luke's head.
"Do you really want to mess with my ex wife's girl? Do you really want to mess with someone I love?" Steven asks. Like looks at me then at Bailey.
"No. But I know you can do anything about it because boss would hurt you. I am his best man you are just his second best." Luke says turning back to Steven. Steven pulls Luke to the back and the boys in black back off. I pull Bailey in to a weird hug thing. She cries in to my shoulder and I let out a breath of relief.
"Thank you for coming to save me. Steven drove me here to talk and have a good drink. He went to the bath room and that Luke guy was all over me. I called you and you came." She quietly tells me as I pull her out of the bar and to my car.
"Steven wanted to talk?" I question her. She nods slowly then backs away from me and to her car. She pulls out her keys and whispers a quick sorry and takes off. I curse as I realize that I have to take Steven home. He walks out and searches for Bailey and finds me.
"She ditched me and you. I have to drive you home in my drunken-sleepy state." I tell him as he approaches me. He smiles at me and takes the keys from me. He opens the passenger door. He picks me and tosses me in the seat. He slams the door and runs to the driver's side door. He starts to drive off and I don't object. I put my head in Steven's lap because the middle seat in the front was down. I let myself fall asleep in his lap.

"She must have really got worked up. She has been asleep since the day after her birthday." I hear a familiar voice. I roll over to the voice.
"Well hello sleeping beauty." Another familiar voice says. I open my eyes to see Bailey, Steven, Jace, and Nathan.
"Hello." I say my voice raspy. I sit up and see that I am in a bedroom that I never wanted to enter again. I quickly hope up and rush to the bathroom in the hall. I lock the door and sit against it. My lungs tighten as I remember what happened the night I saved Bailey. I remembered the night that nearly cause my death. I had cheated death by no less than a millimeter.
I sit on the bed waiting for Steven to come home. He had promised me something special. I had my hands on my stomach because I was that type of mother.
"I'm home!" Steven hollers up the stairs. I run down to met a bloody faced, black eye, and cut lip Steven. I rush to his side pulling him to the couch. I payed him down and ran to the kitchen to grab the first aid kit, ice, a spoon and some ice cream. I knew that it would make him feel better. I ran back to the couch and began to wash his face off. He cursed lightly but never tried to harm me. He usually tried to kill me before he would let me help. As i remove the ice he pulls my hand to his heart. It was beating quickly and his breathing became ragged.
"I hate you with all my heart. I don't ever want to see you again. You are nothing but scum underneath my dirty shoes. You are a worthless piece of crap that doesn't deserve to be loved by anyone. Leave my house and never come back. Take everything you own and leave. Don't ever come back." He whispers angrily at me.
"No. You don't hate me. You couldn't hate me. You love me." I fight back tears. He was being really rude. I took in his scent of alcohol and realized he was completely and utterly drunk. I didn't move so he looked up at me. I began to shake as fear seeped through out my body.
"I said leave." He growls. I shake my head. He takes my neck into his grasp and begins to choke me. He slowly stands up and pushes me in to the wall. I feel my lungs burning because my lack of oxygen.
"When I tell you to leave you need to leave." He growls slamming me into the wall. I wrap my arms around my stomach and I stop trying to make him let go. I slowly begin to fade away. His hold on me drops and I slip to the floor unconscious. I woke up in my bedroom thankfully unhurt. I look for Steven as I sit up. I called his name then as if that triggered something a gunshot fired and it almost hit my head. I had ducked just in time. I look to see Steven holding his gun and aiming it at me.
I feel tears run down my face as I remember the terrible things Steven has done. I look at my watch to see it is six days after my birthday. I hear someone knock on the door lightly and I don't move an inch but continue to cry because of the hurtful and terrible memory.
"Mommy! Please don't cry." Jace's little voice calls from behind the door. I wipe my eyes and look in the mirror. I look like a creep-o that wants to murder someone.
"Ray, hun, please come out." Bailey's voice seemed to work the charm hahaha get it, her last name is charm.
"I want mommy!" Nathan shouted. I opened the door and came face to face with Bailey. I step around her and run out of the house and into Bailey's car. I don't want to be here any longer. It brings back to many bad memories. As I look around the car I see two car seats for my little ones and a little tv in the middle. I hear the driver side door open and I look over to find Steven standing at the car's entrance. I turn away from him and find Bailey standing there. I hug her and begin to cry again.
"Please get me out of here. I can't be here and longer. It is killing me." I whisper to Bailey. She tightens her grip on me and I feel her nod slowly.
"Nathan! Jace! Come tell mommy bye!" Steven yells. They little boys run to meet me and I hug them both tightly.
"I love you my babies." I whisper in both of their ears.
"What bout dada?" Nathan asks.
"He loves you to." I tell him. I kiss their foreheads and pass them back to Steven. Bailey gets me in her car and we leave.
