We got home a little while later, I got Abree and the boys something to eat, a bath, and then ready for bed. After I was sure they were asleep I sat Aden down and talked to him about some stuff that I’ve had on my mind for a while.
“We need to seriously start thinking about getting our own place,” I said.
“I know,” he started, “That’s why I already talked to our parents about moving in together.”
“Are you fucking serious????!!!!!” I half yelled.
“Dead serious,” he replied.
“Oh my god! I love you so much right now,” I said with a dumbass smile on my face.
“I love you too,” he said as he walked across the room, pulled me into his arms, and kissed me.
“So, when do we get to pick out our house?” I asked.
“Tomorrow,” he said, looking really tired all of a sudden.
“Alright, well let’s go to bed so tomorrow can come then,” I said as I went into our room to put my pjs on.
We got into bed and Aden fell asleep almost right away but I couldn’t fall asleep so I got up, went upstairs, got a drink of water, and sat down at the kitchen table.
Maybe this is all going a little too fast I thought as I sat there. Maybe we should wait a little while before we decide to move in to a house on our own. I mean we do still need our parents quite a bit. Plus we just had a little girl and we have two boys and my step mom wants us to take the other two… I just don’t know about all this. I let my imagination run wild until I got so tired that I just laid my head down and fell asleep right there at the kitchen table.
“Jess… Jeeeesssss,” Said a voice that sounded almost too far away.
“JESSICA!!!! WAKE UP!!!!!” he screamed as I shot up out of the sleeping trance I was in.
“What do you want??” I asked sleepily.
“You slept at the kitchen table,” he said.
“I- I did?” I asked clearly confused.
“Yes, you did. It’s only 2 in the morning so come down to bed… Please?” he asked.
“Okay,” I said sleepily. We went back downstairs and got into bed.
Before I was quite ready my alarm sang its annoying little song that indicated it was time for me to get up and get ready for the day that was to come.
“Morning babe,” Aden said as I got out of bed.
“Hey,” I said sleepily; kinda here kinda still in dream land.
I could see that he was doing some sort of paperwork that I assumed was for the house that we were hopefully going to buy today. I got the kids up, dressed, fed, and out the door within 20 minutes.
We drove for what seemed like hours and when we finally reached the agency I looked at the clock, and only 30 minutes had passed. We got out of the car, went inside, and waited for our agent to come out.
“Jessica?” a tall slim lady wearing a black dress and heals called.
“That would be us,” I said to her.
“Well who are all these cute kids?” she asked in an all too perky voice.
“These two would be my brothers who I’ve adopted as my own, and this would be my, I mean our, daughter,” I told her indicating to Aden and myself.
