A Blind Girl With Seeing Eyes

38 5 1

A web of lies
woven before open eyes
yet it came as a surprise
when I got trapped like a fly.
I was stuck to your words, like a bee to colour.
I was trapped like a bird.
People say that its common.
It was all in plain sight.
But I never put up a fight
I walked step by step.
knowing what I was sure to get.
The trap was near
Still, I approached without fear.
and then when you got me
I thought nothing can stop me.
Finally, finally. I shall be set free.
That was until the shock.
Of a heart made of rock.
Were you a devil in disguise?
No, I was a naïve girl with open eyes.
