Take your time, telling tales for reality is a kiss from a rose.
Thorny thirsty monsters eager to grasp at everything you know and teach you life is foe.
The handsome prince upon his pony is haggard and hollow inside,
The boy never got to cry wolf because all alone he cried.
Ciderella screams at rats, they're festy and feral not friends.
Snow white never had a snivelling stepmother for the mirror never told her she was beautiful.
Belle never loved the beast, her beauty is beyond him.
War wrecked the love whispered through Pocahontas and John and destroyed the colours in the wind.
Fairy tails are friendly until they are for real,
Fantasy fixes fake into our veins setting safe in stone.
But the world is not safe or friendly it is ruled by evil, excluding people that live on a golden throne.
But if you come with me, take my hand if you will.
Know you are not alone.
I'll show you where the folklore lives. I'll show you the way home.
In pages and poems and pictures, In dreams that truly come true.
We'll go together where magic is real. Where we can be mythical too.
