The next morning I woke up to birds chirping and the morning seemed blissful.

Boy was I wrong, as soon as I got back to the loft Derek had the scariest scowl on his face, before sternly yelling at me to get changed into my training gear.

Once a sour wolf always a sour wolf.

I finished putting on some training gear and looked in the mirror, realising how desperately I needed to get some new exercise clothes.

Walking out of my room everyone was there ready to go, except the look on Derek's face made me feel uneasy, "Glad you could finally join us," He snarled and I didn't know why he was giving me this sudden tone.

I shrug it off knowing he probably had a bad day. Without warming up, Derek immeditely started the training session, pushing us, harder, and faster.

Derek kept hovering over me the entire session making me push myself harder than I wanted to go, "Faster Hayley, come on FASTER!" He yelled and I picked up the pace on the punching bag.

Beads of sweat rolled down my forehead. I felt the beginning of a headache slowly forming as I panted heavily, "Don't be weak Hayley, you're not giving me your 100%, WORK HARDER!" He screamed in my ear and my arms moved rapidly, throwing punch after punch.

The burning sensation built in my biceps, and my fists. My body was slowly becoming tired and Derek knew it. My aim was becoming weaker, "On target, give me your all, NO SLACKING!"

"I'M TRYING!" I retaliated back at him, which caused the others to stop training and turn towards us.

"Did I tell you to stop?" He questioned me with a stern voice.

I shook my head, "Are you going to suddenly stop when the Mental wolves attack you or your pack?" His voice rose after every word. I shook my head at him once more, "ARE YOU!"

"NO!" I shouted back and felt my chest tighten, as if an eagle had my lungs in its tallons.

"Derek lay off her," Boyd argued and Derek's head snapped towards him.

He took a step closer to me, "Get back to work, and try this time!" He bluntly mumbled biting his teeth together, and clenching his jaw.

I quickly gulped and turned back around to the punching bag, I felt uneasy. I had never seen Derek act like this before and it scared the shit out of me.

After about an hour more of intense workshops he finally stopped, "That's enough you can leave, no one disturb me." Derek grumbled and huffed off to his room, before slamming the door.

"You okay?" Isaac asked and walked over to me.

I gave him a small nod, "Yeah, just don't understand why he had to pick on me. I was trying my hardest." I telepathically spoke to him, not wanting Derek to hear what I honestly thought.

"I know you were." He replied and pulled me into a quick hug.

I looked over his shoulder and saw Erica giving me a soft smile, before she walked off to her room.

After I had let go of Isaac, and showered, Erica walked into my room unexpectedly. "Mind if I hang out for a bit?" She softly asked and I gestured for her to come in.
