The Obvious Fate [ON HOLD]

Chapter 6: Preparing

When I woke up I found training clothes folded neatly on my bed. I guess I start training. As I unfold the clothes a note falls out.

Dear Roslyn,

As you can see I left you training clothes on your bed. Put them on and meet Jason and I in the training room at 12:00am. The training room is down the hall, turn left, turn right, then turn left again, you can't you can't miss it.

I looked and the clock, it's 10:00 am, good I have 2 hours, I had better go downstairs to eat.

When I got down there no one was sitting at the breakfast table, except for my mom.

I went to go sit down next to her, and she looked up, smiled and said. "Hello darling, good morning, are you ready for training?"

"Yeah, but what kind of training am I doing? I asked

"You will be training in weapons today." Emily responds.

"Why weapons though?" I ask confused

" Well in the prophecy it says when the supreme hybrid has been trained all supernatural beings will come together and come to the promised land and converge in an all out war with the government, so you will need to know how to fight."

"I don't fight though." I say

"You will soon." she said while smiling mischievously.

After eating scrambled eggs and toast it was 11:00 am so I decided to start exploring more of the house.

First, I walk down a long hall and came to stairs, tons of stairs that lead to the roof. I came back down and wandered a little more and found myself in a huge indoor swimming pool area. How rich are these people?

It was finally 12:00 am and I had gotten my training clothes on and was heading toward the training room. As I got there I saw Aaron throwing knives at a target, each time hitting the bullseye. Jason was across the room with sword in hand hitting away at a wooden dummy.

When I walk in the room, both Aaron and and Jason look at me. Aaron smiles sweetly and says

"Those training clothes look good on you."

"Thanks." I respond as I feel my face get hotter by the minute. Then I look at Jason only to see him putting his finger in his mouth and pretending to throw up. I rolled my eyes and asked

"What weapons will we start with?"

"Well we will start with melee attacks and block, not really real weapons today." He answers

"Okay."

"Okay, stand straight and hold your hands out strong." Aaron says

I do what he says and he jabs me with his elbow and I fly back a little.

"Remember keep your arms and stance held strong." He says

We continue with this for an hour, till we move on to hitting and kicking. Then it's 4:00 pm and Emily calls us down for an early dinner.

When we go down the stairs I again see a masterpiece of food strewn across the table. I try new things such as curry and fondue. They are the best things ever!! I have never had food before, that made my very taste buds dance.

When I finish eating we are all sitting at the table haveing conversations about training when Emily says.

"We are having an early dinner because we have to get lots of sleep for tomorrow. We're going back to Rome!"
