~Tuesday~
I was walking into the long hallway when I bumped into Harry.
"Sorry about that Abby," He said.
"It''s fine its not your fault," I replied. Harry started to walk away, "wait! Harry come back! I need to ask you something!" I called for him, but not very loudly so people wouldn't stare.
He came back, "Yea?" He asked.
"Wanna go to my place to continue the project?" I asked.
"No."
"Why not?" I was very confused by this, I was expecting him to say yes.
"I just can't, I can't tell you."
"Please come!" I begged, "I really would like to get an A on that project!"
"I am sorry but I can't."
"And why is that?"
"I have band practice."
"Your in a band?"
"Yes, please don't tell anyone!"
"Including Beth?"
"Including Beth."
"Speaking of Beth, do you know where she is? I haven't seen her since Saturday!"
"She isn't here."
"Yea I know that."
"No I mean she really isn't here, she left the school," Harry looked upset.
"What?"
"She- she went to California."
"Why?"
"She said her dad found a business opportunity in San Francisco."
"Why did she tell you and not me?" I asked, trying not to cry.
"She was mad at you, remember?"
"Yea I remember," by then I was balling my eyes out. Beth was my best friend and I blew it, who will be there for me now?
"I didn't even get to say goodbye." I balled.
"Hey, don't cry! Harry started, "you can come to the band practice and we'll work on the project together afterwards, does that make it better?"
"Kind of," I replied, still crying.
"Is there anything else that I can do?" He asked.
"I don't know,"
