"A WHAT?!" Tom screeched, causing Tord to cover his ears.
"An alliance, idiot! Don't you think it would work?! We could kill off the Crimson Navy easily and lose less soldiers if we work together."
"Like hell I'll ever work with you!" Tom growled, holding back the urge to punch Tord in the damaged side of his face.
"I know we've had some... differences... in the past, Thomas, but trust me. I just want to get this part of our little war over with. Then we can go back to wanting eachother's blood, alright?" Tord sounded almost defeated, his voice sounding pained. Tom stopped himself from yelling again. Never had he seen Tord so.... sad. The red leader looked down at his arm, which was replaced with a bright red robot one after the 'incident' with his old friends.

(Another flashback, I know)

"I am not. Your. FRIEND!!!" Tom yelled at the top of his lungs as he pulled the trigger on his harpoon gun. He could hear a small 'uh oh' from Tord as the harpoon went through his giant robot. It fell through the sky and exploded, the pieces landing on a hill not too far from Edd, Matt, and Tom's old house, which was now gone. Tom struggled to get up as his friends rushed to his side, lifting him up for him.
   "Told you that harpoon gun would be useful." Tom remarked, smiling at where he last had seen the robot. Even if he hated Tord for what he had did to his friend and to their house, he couldn't help but wonder.

Did he really just kill Tord Audet?

(Flashback over)

    Tord moved his arm slightly, making a softly clicking sound come from it. Tom looked down at the arm, guilt panging his heart.
   "I.... I guess.... but only until the Crimson Navy falls, alright?" Tom looked completely away from Tord as he agreed. He heard the communist let of a soft, but sad, chuckle.
   "Thanks... Thomas."
    "Shut up."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     Tom stumbled to his office, tired as all hell. He fell into his chair and leaned back, closing his eyes and sighing loudly. Why did he make the alliance? Why didn't he just kill Tord right then and there and take on the Crimson Navy by himself? Truth was, his army wasn't strong enough to handle the navy either. It had happened too many times: Tord and Tom would meet up at a battle, bringing a small portion of their men each, until Todd showed up with his entire fleet, causing death and destruction to literally rain from above. His friends had already been hurt once, he couldn't risk it again.
    A soft knock at his metal door caused Tom to snap out of his thoughts and almost fall out of his chair. He quickly regained himself and his balance before sitting properly and clearing his throat.
   "Come in."
   A figure rushed in, quickly walking to his desk with a smile. He had bright green eyes, ruffled brown hair, and wore a green hoodie under his Blue Army uniform. He saluted slightly before Tom chuckled.
   "I've told you a thousand times before, Edd, you don't need to salute me."
   "Just trying to be formal, Blue Leader." Edd smiled at his friend.
    "What'da need?"
     "Well, you see.... through our signals, we keep getting messages and threats from the Crimson Navy. They keep saying they will attack soon, but we don't know when soon is. Hell, we can't even locate their base." Tom nodded and sighed, thinking for a few seconds.
   "Alright.... I need you to send out a message to Red Leader. Tell him what has been going on and see if his soilders can help."
   Edd nearly jumped out of his skin at the mention of Tord. Of course, they had been good friends years ago, but ever since the incident happened, Edd had been basically traumatized. He was terrified of Tord, now.
   "W-why him? Aren't you two e-enemies?"
   "You see, Edd, I just got back from a meeting with him. We started an alliance to bring down the Crimson Navy. It ends when Todd is killed." Tom replied, his voice hard and ice cold. Edd slowly nodded and rushed off to tell the communications group who to contact.
    Once Edd was gone, Tom sighed again and leaned back, closing his eyes once again. He couldn't help but have so many questions run through his head at the same time. Did he make the right decision? Should he put so much trust into someone he hates? Would they even be able to defeat the Crimson Navy? He didn't even know how to begin to answer these questions. But he felt something knot up in his gut, telling him that all of these questions would be answered soon enough, and not in a good way.
(It's important for ya'll to know that Todd is the opposite of Tord. He's the 'neighbor' version of Tord, you know? He used to be friends with Eduardo, Mark, and Jon before he moved away to start his army.
Why do you need to know that? You'll see...)
