Tord ran a hand through his devil horn-like hair, smoothing it out for a second before it puffed back up to its normal state. He stared at the wall across his office boredly. He wasn't tired, despite being extremely late at night. He heard his automatic metal door open and he looked over to see his second-in-command officer, Paul Soutter, walking into his office. The man stopped in front of Tord's desk.
Tord looked up at him since his chin was laying flat on the desk.
"Whadya want?"
"Shouldn't you be sleeping, Red Leader?"
"What are you, my dad?"

Paul glared slightly down at Tord, causing the norski to chuckle and sit up straight.
"You're like a kid I swear..."
"I know. Now, what is it that you wanted?"
"We just got a message from Blue Leader's second. It's pretty important, he said." Paul pulled a letter out of his uniform's pocket before handing it to Tord. Tord literally ripped it open, wondering what was going wrong. He quickly scanned the document, sighing softly.
"God damn it, Paul.... you had me worried there for a second."
"What? Thought he was dead or something?" Paul smirked softly and took a cigarette out of his pocket, lit it up, and put it in his mouth.
"Kind of, yeah." Tord looked at the letter once more muttering a soft 'who even sends letters anymore...' under his breath. Paul took his cigarette out of his mouth for a second before laughing.
"The Blue Army, apparently." Tord glared softly at his friend before shoving the letter in his desk's drawer.
"Take as many soilders as you can to training tomorrow." Tord stood up and walked over to Paul. "Make sure they train well."
"Sir?" Paul gulped, sounding nervous for once. "What are you planning to do?"
"Well, if the Blue Army gets attacked, we're gonna have to help them out, aren't we?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Tord couldn't help but smile as he watched his troops train for combat. He had trained these people well, and even knew a few of them. He just hoped most of them would be ok when the battle ended.
     He looked behind him as he heard footsteps approach him. His two main soilders, Paul and Patryck, walked up to him and smiled.
   "Good morning, Red Leader." Patryck said as Paul saluted. Tord saluted back.
   "Good morning to you, too. If you don't mind, I need you to watch over these guys while I have some.... paperwork... to do." Tord mentally cursed at himself for acting slightly nervous. Paul and Patryck looked at him, then each other, then back at Tord.
    "Alright, sir."
    "If you say so, Red Leader."
    Tord nodded thankfully to the couple before dashing off away from the training grounds and to his office. When he finally got there, he walked over to his desk and pulled the letter out again. Granted, he had only skimmed it twice to get the main points. This time, he read it out loud so that he knew what was going on.
   "Dear Red Leader,
    I wish to tell you that Blue Leader and our army have been getting threats from the Crimson Navy about an attack. We don't know when it will happen, but Blue Leader doesn't want to take any chances. Please, if you wish, send a few troops over by tomorrow. We will give them housing and meals, if they only fight with us when the battle comes. We do not wish to lose anymore lives.
     Thank you, sir.
     Signed, Edd Judge."
   Tord smiled softly at his friend's name. He hadn't talked directly to Edd ever since the incident occured; only seen him during peace meetings or during battles. He knew that he had been harmed slightly by one of Todd's soldiers, as well as Matt, but they were only minor wounds. It seemed they were up and running since they followed Tom to every peace meeting they held, just like Paul and Pat followed Tord.
    Tord thought about the day Todd had stepped in on their peace conference and joined the war. He made a mental note to ask Todd who the two people were who followed him that day. They hadn't held a peace conference since that day, thanks to Todd being a hard ass about everything, but he would still try.
    Todd was a weird fellow. He always acted nice one moment and then angry the next. Tord wondered if he was bipolar, but didn't think on it too hard. It was just Todd's rage that puzzled Tord the most about his personailty. He would always seem nice to Tom and the Blue Army, hell, even to Tord's Red Army soldiers, but he always glared daggers at Tord himself or spew hateful comments, just targeting the red leader. Tord wanted to know why the hell Todd hated him so much. What had he done in the past to hurt him? He didn't even know him...
