Alaric

~How you meet

Cautiously observing your surroundings, you hold your bow and arrow higher as the sound of twigs snapping alarms your senses.

Keeping your grip strong and steady, you wait a few more seconds to listen to your surroundings and then you release your arrow.

The loud sound of a male grunting can be heard as you advance towards that direction.

Stepping from behind a tree, your eyes reveal the sight of a man, probably a few years older than you, holding his shoulder where your arrow hit.

Taking in his features, your eyes zero in on his defined jaw that holds a five o'clock shadow, his thin and pink kissable lips, his straight perfect nose and the real eye catcher, his deep chocolate brown eyes.

Styled into a quiff, stood his light brunette hair that is just practically begging you to run your hands through.

Snapping out of your trance you quickly rush towards him as you finally notice all the blood pouring out of his wound and soaking his shirt.

"Oh my, I'm so sorry, are you okay?" Gently placing your hand on to his unharmed shoulder you wait for his reply whilst staring at the wound your arrow caused.

After a few seconds past with no reply you look towards his eyes only to find them already staring at you. Blushing in embarrassment you awkwardly clear you throat and look away.

"Again, I'm so sorry, I thought you were something else". Realising your mistake you quickly shut your mouth and pray he is in too much pain to actually acknowledge your words.

"Like a vampire". Shocked you incredulously stare at him with wide eyes whilst opening and closing your mouth like a gasping fish.

"What? But- Huh!!!!". Still flabbergasted you stutter helplessly, continuing to silently beg for the ground just to swallow you up.

"Your not the only vampire hunter you know". He proudly states whilst wincing from the pain.

Realising he is still injured, you hesitantly yet gently grab his arm to help him stand up.

"Alright, lets get you to a hospital". You state whilst supporting his body against yours.

Carefully you pull the mysterious man along with you towards the direction of your car whilst silently hoping he won't pass out as you realise you wouldn't be able to carry all of his body weight.

Guiding him into the passenger seat, you scurry over to the drivers seat and fasten your seat belt ready to go.

"Alaric". Turning your head towards the passenger side of the car, you stare at the man with confusion waiting for him to explain.

"My name, its Alaric". Nodding your head in understanding you turn your focus back towards the road.

"Y/N". You quietly reply.

"Nice name". He kindly states whilst staring at you.

Trying not to look obvious, you glance at Alaric from the corner of your eyes to see he is still staring at you.

"What were you doing in the forest?". You question him whilst taking the turning for the hospital.

"The same thing you were. Vampire hunting". Rolling your eyes at your self, you mentally realise how stupid your question was.

Parking your car just outside the hospital, you get out and walk to the passenger side to help Alaric out.

Upon entering the hospital, a nurse quickly rushes over to Alaric and immediately guides him forwards towards the emergency rooms.

Turning around you head towards the exit to head back to your car when you hear your name being called.

Turning toward the sound, your eyes meet Alaric's.

"Wait for me". Alaric states whilst intensely staring right at you.

"Okay". You gently and quietly state as you blush a deep red.

And so you sat and waited.
