The Shadow Nightmare

   Chapter 1 : M I D N I G H T  G A M E

Azure's POV

   

        Night, darkness, shadows. Feared for nothing. Fictional thoughts clouded your mind. Unreasonable actions were made. Fear, panic, trauma. But everything was just a misunderstanding. Here comes a plan. Mission, target, spy, confirmation, assassination.

          Stars filled the sky, wanting to reach them but whatever I do they will be out of my reach. They're  up there in the sky twinkling. Trying the best they can to be recognize. Pleasing everyone without a second thought. Not bothering to have something in return.

                  But in this world where I am aware of the brutal way of living. Everyone would keep you safe and protected but they don't know nor hold what was suppose to happen, a little prediction would be a hint but it won't change everything. A fate will always come true, maybe not too soon but it'll slowly creeps in your present. You were taught how to fight to make the plan work to avoid the battle in the future. But life is too unfair and tragedy happens too soon that it came out losing the lives of everybody in that family except for the little girl that was left alone in the room. How lucky she is to survive? But then again, the girl was dead inside. Half of her life was burried six feet underground. Suffering from the emotional pain. Most of us would say, 'I rather suffer from physical pain than to experience heartbreak...' 

 

       "Kii teru?" ( Are you listening? ) I snap out of my thoughts when Dark asked. I looked at him and back in front to where we're running to, "Hai." ( Yes.)

"Usotsuki." ( Liar. ) He mumbled and I gave him a small smile. It's the fact that he knew me very well. Why not? We are together since 11 years ago. He can tell when I was lying or not, nevertheless not at all times.

"Nani mo arimasen. Just musing." ( There is nothing. ) I replied shrugging while jumping to another tree. Keeping my pace to run with him.

"Fōkasu o suru hitsuyō ga arimasu." ( You need to focus. ) He seriously said. I stop and turn to face him with a scowl. Now, he decided to play a game by annoying me. Which really works! I hate him for doing things like this. For all the people, he's the only one whom I can't win with such kind of conversation. He's childish and nagger but you better hide when he turns serious. He is worse than your grandmother.

"Yeah! Never crossed my mind." I said sarcastically. I don't want this mission to failed just because his having fun. Fun. Him enjoying that he will totally forgot about the situation as a mission. When his fun starts you would doubt if approaching him was safe or not. He would look like a mad person who eats human flesh. At the end of it, a single slap would wake him up from his bloody game. It works everytime and it's a pleasure to tame and shut him up.

"Ugh!" He groan. Pouted, turn around and stomped like a kid who have been told not to go out. He walk into the darkness like he belongs there. And before he dissapear I said, "Don't get too much fun."
