~Three hours into the drive~

“No.”

“Yes.”

“No.”

“If you two don’t stop arguing, I will stick a knife into Dan’s eye.” I grumble. Let’s just say, long car rides don’t have a very good effect on me. At least I didn’t get nauseous. Before anyone can reply, I shush them and put in my headphones. Ed Sheeran would calm me down.

When I mean calm me down, I don’t mean make me cry. I take the headphones out, leant forward and have a good cry. When Elena asks if I’m okay I point to my iPod which is showing Ed Sheeran songs. She makes an ‘o’ with her mouth and looks out the window.

~Three hours and fifty-four minuets later~

“Almost there.” I say, nudging Elena awake. Dan is now driving, so I don’t know how she didn’t wake up earlier. Let’s just say, he’s not the greatest at driving. Several times, I thought I got a concussion, from slamming my head against the window so many times.

“Can someone pass me a sandwich?” Phil asks from up front. I pass him a sub, and look back out the window. Scotland is beautiful. We drove through a beautiful neighborhood before arriving at a medium sized beautiful house.

“This is where Liam Dryden spends his summer vacation.” Phil said, helping us out of the car. “We called him a while ago, so he knows we’re staying over.” I couldn’t help but feel my whole body go into hyper-drive mode. Now this was the tricky part. When I am in hyper-drive mode, it means that A: I’m about to die of embarrassment, B: Something insane is going to happen for sure and I can’t handle it, or C: I’m so emotional I can’t handle something huge. So my body goes into hyper-drive mode, where it decides to just shut down. I am incapable of talking, showing facial expression, and being myself. Basically, I turn into a walking non-metal robot.

Only one thing can cure hyper-drive mode. A good, well deserved, painful, reddening, slap. Elena walks up to me, examines my robotic expression and sighs. She takes one last look at her hand, and then my cheek and goes into ninja slap mode. With all her might, she lets her hand swing backward and then with a spin it meets my face with a crack.

At first all I feel is numbness. Then, I meet my maker. A hot pain juts up my face and makes my brain pains go into cardiac arrest. I let out a howl of pain before stroking pain. I can see Elena clutching her hand.

“I did what had to be done.” She explains to me with wet eyes. I know her pain. The pain doesn’t go away, as we walk up the driveway, my hand to my cheek. I miss the happiness of being pain free in the face. Phil rings the doorbell. Then, I realize what’s happening. Liam Dryden. I’m going to meet the one, the only Liam Dryden! He opens the door, greeting us with a wide smile. It makes me want to melt. His legendary L shirt sticks out. I gape. “Stop gaping idiot.” Elena whispers in my ear. I send her a grateful smile.

His hair! His eyes! His accent! “Hello!” He greets, cheerily. He lets us come into his house, all of us trailing our suitcases behind. "So we’ve only gotten two bedrooms for you all, so someone’s got to share. Unless of course someone wants to stay in my room, got a pull out couch. " He says jokingly

“I will!” Dan volunteers. Liam smiles and high fives Dan. Liam Dryden. I think I might faint. “Get over yourself.” I tell myself in my head, and offer a smile to him, when his gaze rests on me.

“Do you need some ice?” Liam asks. Before I can answer, Elena nods eagerly. Before Liam can ask, she just shakes her head. He understands and stays off the topic. “So what’s your names?” He asks us, as we smile at him stupidly. Elena didn’t like him the way I did, but Liam was still a big role model to both of us.

“I’m Maya.” I say immediately. Instead of sticking out my hand, I engulf him in a big hug. He smells like flowers. I don’t want to let go. He hugs me back instantly. I think I hear a small sigh from behind me, but I don’t take much notice to it.

“Elena.” She mutters from the side. I pull away from Liam, realizing we’ve been hugging for an uncomfortable amount of time.

“Tea, anyone?” Liam offers. With one glance, he understands that we would all die for some tea. “I’m in Liam’s hallway.” I acknowledge in my head. “Now I’m in his kitchen.” May be showing some signs of insanity. “Now I’m on his porch!” I squeal in my head. My day couldn’t get any better. We all sit around a table on the porch. I’m in-between Phil and Elena. Next to Phil, is Dan, next to him is Liam, next to Liam sits an eager Elena.

Our group chats for a while, often making horrible puns, other times making the whole group vibrate with loud bursts of laughter. We all get along perfectly. I glance at Phil with a smile. He wears a smile, but I can tell is hiding something. I wonder what. I poke him in the stomach, and he sends me a squinty face and then sticks out his tongue. I giggle and then return to the conversation I am having with Dan and Liam about stalkers.
