"(Y/n), you can't just waltz in here and-"

"Miss (y/n)!! For the last time, it's 'MISS!!'"

"Miss (y/n), you can't just waltz in here and expect me to treat you with respect! You stole my compass! How am I supposed to react to that other than to banish you from me presence?!"

"I'm your first mate, you can't banish me!!"

"Well love, there's a first time for everything! Leave!!"

So there she went, storming off the Tortugan pier, in search of a crew that she could captain herself, prove to Sparrow who was boss.

She turned on her heels to face the captain of the Black Pearl once more. "If we ever cross paths again, Captain Jack Sparrow," she spat viciously while pointing an accusing finger at her new enemy, "I swear on pain of death I will kill you." She turned back to the busy port of Tortuga, never intending to set eyes on Jack again.

That was 10 years ago. Rumor had it Captain Sparrow had lost his beloved Black Pearl to the infamous Captain Barbossa, and had eventually gotten it back. (Y/n) almost wished he had never succeeded in retrieving his ship.

~time skip cuz I'm the laziest person on earth and I don't wanna have to write out the whole entire reason this next scene is gonna be here, but long story short your ship is gaining on Jack's ship 😉~

"Lower the main sails! Quickly, you bildrats!!" Jack shouted at his crew, glancing behind him to see how close you were.

"She's gaining on us, Cap'n!" Gibbs yelled to Jack.

Captain Sparrow glared daggers at his first mate. "I can see that, Mister Gibbs, thank you!!"

Aboard the (Ship Name), Captain (y/n) smirked and turned to her own first mate, Izzy. "Looks like we'll be besting yet another male pirate, Iz my dear!"

Izzy smiled at her captain. "Aye, captain!"

No more than 20 minutes later, both the Black Pearl and the (Ship Name) were anchored side by side, a gangplank connecting the two. (Y/n) stood in front of Jack, who hid his nervousness behind his eyes pretty well.

"Ah, (y/n)," he drawled out. "Been a long time. Too long."

"Indeed, Captain Jack Sparrow. And I believe..that I swore to kill you if I ever set eyes on you again.."

Jack's eyes widened. "(Y/n), please, I know we had some quaffs in our past, but I promise we can work this ou-"

(Y/n) held up her ring-adored hand, a fashionable look she had picked up from Jack. "Jack, listen..I was wrong..in stealing your compass. And in threatening you. I'm sorry."

Jack looked quite surprised, but also very pleased. "Wha's that, love?"

You shot him an annoyed look before rolling your eyes. "I'm. Sorry. Okay? Enough with it. I release you from my oath to kill you," you said, flailing your hands about, not realizing how much you had become like Sparrow.

"Thank you kindly, love," Jack smirked at you.

"Shut up."

It was at that moment that Captain Jack Sparrow finally came to terms with his affections for his former enemy. ❤️
