Katie's POV
"A daisy surrounded by roses. What does it mean?" Zoe asks as she braids Lizzie's hair.
"Did the flowers came with a note?" Lizzie asks.
"Yeah, there was a note." I hand Lizzie the note. "You may read it as well, Zoe."
They read the note silently. Zoe looks at me. "Who is it from?"
"I already told you that I don't know who sent it." I groan, lying on my bed.
"This is cute." Lizzie says, out of nowhere.
I sit up and give her a confused look. "What? It's mysteriously sweet, Lizzie!"
"Right. Sorry. I'm clueless." She says. "It could be your boyfriend."
"Lizzie. She's single." Zoe says.
"She is?" Lizzie asks. "Then who is this Luke guy?"
"Who the hell is Luke?" I ask her.
"Your boyfriend?" She asks in return.
"Don't answer me with a question. I do not know anyone named Luke."
"What? Then it must be Rick." She shrugs.
"Lizzie. Lizzie. Lizzie. What are we gonna do with you, girl?" Zoe rolls her eyes.
"What did I do wrong?"
"His name is Nick." I answer, calmly.
"Oh right. I thought it was Mike." She mutters.
"Here. Watch this and shut your mouth." Zoe says, handing Lizzie her phone.
"Yay! Thankies!" She grins.
As you see, Lizzie is the clueless one of the group. She's also the youngest. She reminds me of Cat Valentine of Victorious. Wait, how do I know that? Easy. Lizzie watches those flicks from Nickelodeon.
My phone rings. I raise my eyebrow. They stare at me curiously. I answer the call. "Hello?"
"Katie?"
"Who is this?"
"This is Robby Ray Stewart."
"Who the hell is Robby Ray?"
"Eeeee-doggies! Yer Hannah Montana and you don't know who I am?" He says.
Hannah Montana? Is this Nick? I jump up. "Nick?!?"
Lizzie and Zoe stops talking. They turn their attention to me. Lizzie's already making lovey-dovey faces. Zoe's smiling at me.
For the first time in forever, He finally contacted me.
"No. It's Sean. Are you expecting someone else?" And my happiness disappears.
"Oh. I - uh, I'm sorry, Sean. I thought you were someone else." I try my best not to sigh. "How did you get my number?"
He stays silent. "I guessed it. . .?"
"Don't lie to me." I say.
"All right, I. . . kind of. . . uh. . searched your facebook account and. . . I. . .uh. . found your phone number." He says, embarrassed.
I start laughing. "That's really cute, Sean. But how did you really get it?"
"I just told you, idiot." He growls before chuckling.
My mind flashes another memory with Nick. Our who-are-you-calling-idiot-idiot argument. Damn, I really miss the Idiot that I love.
"Are you serious, then? Woah. I bet you already sent me a friend request." Zoe and Lizzie are sending each other the flirty look. They must think that Sean gave these flowers.
"How did you know?!?" He gasps.
"Dude. Don't gasp. You sound gay."
"Thanks, babe." He giggles.
"Why the hell are you giggling?"
"You told me I sound Gay." He says.
"You're an idiot." I roll my eyes.
"Who are you calling idiot, idiot?"
Nick. . . I shake my head out of my thoughts. "Stop that."
"Aw. Whyyyyy?"
"Because I told you to." I smirk.
"Seaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!" An angry man yells. "Coming Dad! Hey, Katie. I'll be back later."
"Oh all right. Talk to you later." I say, awkwardly. "Bye."
I end the phone call. The girls are still staring at me.
"What the hell?" I ask them.
"Who's Sean?" Zoe asks.
"Is he dreamy?" Lizzie ponders.
"Oh come on. Sean is just a guy I met at the bookstore." I laugh.
"Did you say Bookstore?" Lizzie wiggles her eyebrows. "Remember Summer Camp '09?"
"Yeah. . . ?" I raise my eyebrow.
"Didn't you tell me that you want to date a guy who -"
"- likes reading books?" Zoe finishes Lizzie's sentence.
I shake my head. "There's nothing between me and Sean. Don't worry."
"Oh sure. Nothing between you two. . ." Zoe whispers.
"Just sweet moments." Lizzie coos.
"Stop it, you guys!" I warn, with a smile on my face. "I don't like him."
"Yet." Lizzie giggles.
"I'm not falling in love within a week." I reply. Except Nick, the little voice on my head says.
"Okay. Maybe within two weeks." Zoe laughs at Lizzie's remark.
"I won't. I assure you. I will stay single this whole school year." I promise, crossing my fingers.
"We'll see." They say in unison.
My phone rings once more. They stare at me with huge grins on their faces. I shrug them off and tapped 'View.' They sit behind me to read the message.
From: Unknown Number (182-281-973)
Hey. I'm in love with you.
And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is followed by Zoe and Lizzie's screams.
