she memorized everything. the lines the ran across the palm of his hands, how some were shorter and deeper than others while others where longer and seemed to disappear. she knew the rough sides of his hands, how some parts were hard and rough with exima, and blisters and cuts from working too hard. she knew his every phase. how he acted when he was thinking about something real hard, he would look off into space in a daydream like state and she'd just stare at him. she knew him when he was angry, he'd form his hands into fists and the smile he'd often wear would disappear. she knew what he looked like when he lied to her. he never knew it but she saw right through him; most of the time anyway. when he called her beautiful she knew it was a lie but when he told her she was his one and only oh she believed it. she believed all the sweet nothings he promised her. she was a stupid girl, a beautiful gorgeous sweet girl but oh so stupid. she memorized the way his sweatshirts smelled because every chance she got she wore them. she memorized every feeling she got when she was with him and she knew every butterfly like the back of her hand. she didnt love him but god she could've. so when he left her, when he crushed her in the palm of his hand she didnt know it was possible to be even broken than she already was. she thought he was healing her heart but right when he wouldve he stomped on it and crushed it and spit all over it. this time she didnt believe him when he said i'm sorry. oh god was she a mess, but ironically she couldn't cry. her body wouldnt let it happen and that made it all so much worse. she'd stare off in space in the middle of the day thinking of him and she soon lost sleep because late at night she'd stare at her bedroom ceiling feeling a numbing pain in her heart. when she saw him in class next to her talking to other girls she pretended not to notice but god that was when the pain became all too real. she was mess, a huge mess. but thats an understatement. she was worse. see she had memorized everything. everything that he was, thathe gave her, that he made her feel and she cursed him everyday for it...
