Perrie's POV
I get out of my mam's car, wave goodbye to her, and walk up to the front door of Jade's house. This is my first time coming to a friend's house since primary school. In fact, it's my first time having a friend since primary school. You see, my best friend in primary school was awesome. I trusted her with everything - I told her all of my darkest secrets. Then, in our first year of high-school, I admitted to her that I was gay, and it all went downhill from there. She told her parents, who were highly religious, and didn't believe in homosexuality. They told my mam, who being amazing and really supportive didn't give a shit, but my now ex-best-friend told everyone at our school. I started getting bullied. Really badly. I'd come home almost everyday covered in bruises, and have to make up excuses to my mam that I just fell down the stairs, or walked into a wall (which I do anyway). Finally, when I was in Year 12 (A/N Junior year of high-school), the bullies started getting way, way more violent. I'd stumble home with a broken nose or a swollen eye, but one day towards the end of the year, one of the bullies, who just so happened to be my old friend, broke my leg. I was taken to the hospital, and the police were informed. Anyway, I now have huge trust issues.
"Hey Pez." (Y/N) greets me, and I feel my cheeks start to get hot.
"Hi." I mutter shyly "Did Jade invite you over?"
"Nah, this is where I live too." She says "I'm Jade's older twin."
"Oh."
"JADE!" (Y/N) hollers "Perrie's here!" She ushers me in, and I stand right next to the wall in the hallway, scared and shy.
"Hi, Perrie!" Jade says
"Hi Jade." I say shyly
"Come through here" Jade tells me, and drags me into their living room. I sit on one of the leather sofas, and (Y/N) plops down next to me.
"Hi there, you must be Perrie." A woman comes in to the room. She must be Jade and (Y/N)'s mam."Hello, Ms Thirlwall." I say, yet again shyly.
"Call me Norma, dear. I haven't seen you before. Are you new?" I nod, before the doorbell rings, and Norma gets up to go and let whoever it is in.
"Hi, Leigh!" Jade says.
"Hey, Jade and Perrie." She greets "(Y/N)."
"Why don't ya like me, Leigh-Leigh?" (Y/N) asks
"Don't call me that." Leigh-Anne says, and we all fall into an uncomfortable silence. Which I'm well used to. Just as it's about to get too awkward, the doorbell goes again, and (Y/N) gets up to get it. Leigh-Anne moves over to the sofa that I'm on, and sits next to me.
"She's gonna try to get in your pants." Leigh tells me "Don't trust her."
"Why would that happen?" Jade asks "She's really nice at home."
"Trust me."
"Leigh, have you done the dirty with my sister?"
"Possibly."
"You dirty bastard." Jade says, jokingly, and I giggle quietly at the two girls' silliness
"You know that she's a fuck girl, right?" Leigh says
"Yeah. I don't really understand why though."
"Stay away from (Y/N)?" Leigh-Anne questions me
"Alright."After about half an hour of chatting with actual human beings for once in my life, Norma calls us in for dinner,
"Jade, could you get your sister from her room please?"
"Alright, Mam." Jade says, before rushing upstairs to get (Y/N) and whoever her friend is.
"There you are, Perrie. Is that enough?" Norma asks as she piles lasagna onto my plate
"Yes, thank you." I say, and she moves over to where Leigh is sitting, and shovels pasta onto her plate. We hear the others running down the stairs, so I busy myself with my napkin. I don't know why, but I just really want to make a good impression to (Y/N). Looking up, I see that Jade has sat down next to me, and (Y/N) is across the table from me. Then, I see her. The one that punched me earlier. For no reason whatsoever. Leigh-Anne sees me looking at the girl, and gives me a reassuring smile.
"Cher, have you met Perrie?" Norma asks
"No, I don't believe I have, Norma." Cher says politely, outstretching her hand for me to shake "nice to meet you, Perrie."
"Yeah." I mumble. She's obviously just pretending to be nice. If Norma wasn't here, she'd be punching me, kicking me etcetera.
I eat dinner in silence, while the others talk and joke with each other, but (Y/N) says something that makes me look up.
"Lauren and I broke up today."
"I knew that'd happen." Leigh-Anne says, and pokes Jade, who then hands her a £20 note.
"How, sweetie? You seemed so... Smitten."
"She cheated on me." She says, obviously choosing to ignore Leigh-Anne saying 'hypocrite' into a cough "With a girl called Camila Cabello. I'm not really torn up about it though. We knew it wouldn't last."
The rest of the night goes quickly. Mainly because I leave straight after dinner, but yeah.
I'm gonna take Leigh-Anne's advice, and stay away from (Y/N). She seems nice enough, but Leigh seems to have had experience with her. And I also don't want to ignore my new friends. They're gonna be valuable here, I can tell.
