"I'm sorry for how I treated you," he told me as we stood on the third story balcony together, "I shouldn't have ignored you like I did."
"It wasn't your fault," I told him hesitantly, leaning my head onto his shoulder, "What did Ian tell you? "
He smirked at me and placed his arm over my shoulders, "He just brought me outside and started yelling," I glanced up at him and he shrugged his shoulders, dropping his arm back to his side, "He told me to leave you alone, and that you wouldn't want me. It was a real confidence booster, I'll tell you that," he said sarcastically with a forced laugh as he ran his hand over his orange hair, "He thought I only wanted you for sex, and anything I tried to say wasn't real." He lightly huffed, "He was listening to respond instead of listening to understand. I guess Anthony influenced that," he glanced down at me, adding, "By the way, I have some questions."
"Oh, gosh," I said playfully, taking his hand in mine for a moment and leaning on the railing, "What would you like to know?"
"Why drag Wes into all of this mess?" He asked, leaning his arms onto the railing.
I smirked at him, "You aren't very good at hiding your jealousy," I lightly laughed, moving to sit in a chair to the left.
"I don't get jealous!" He exclaimed proudly as he took a seat beside me. Meeting my eyes with a smile tugging at his lips, "Maybe a little." He chuckled, "I mean, obviously, when he kissed you." He lightly huffed, rolling his eyes, "Any normal man would be jealous."
"When we played pool," I added, wiggling my eyebrows at him.
He nodded, a smile pulling at his lips, "Alright, yeah," he agreed, "I won't say that I didn't wish that was me teaching you how to play."
"I'm glad my plan worked," I said to him as I stood up to move back towards the cabin.
"Me too," he told me, taking a bigger step and reaching for my hand, "But Wes stole what was supposed to be mine." He said, pulling me gently towards him and placing his hands on my waist.
"And what would that be, Mr. Corn?" I asked him with a smile as I inched closer to him.
He smirked at me, "If you want to find out, then you need to get the Wes germs off of your tongue."
There was a knock at the balcony door, and we both looked to see Ian waiting inside, "Whatcha want, bro?" I asked him with a laugh as I opened the door.
"I don't want to intrude. I think I've done enough of that already," he began nervously, and I tucked my arm around him, kissing his cheek, "I just wanted to apologize again, Lasercorn. I'm really sorry for yelling at you and saying what I said." I smiled, leaning onto my brother's shoulder, "I'd just like to let you know that I respect you as a friend and as a father, and I trust you with my sister."
"If we are being honest, it really hurt to hear you say that stuff about me, man," Laserocorn said, "but I forgive you, and thank you, Ian," he smiled, glancing at me, "but I think we are just friends for now." I nodded in agreement, taking Lasercorn's hand as my brother walked back into the cabin to give us some well deserved privacy. He pulled me into a tight hug and kissed the top of my head, taking a deep breath before asking, "Are you staying in Tennessee?"
I looked up at him and shrugged my shoulders, watching as his smile turned into a straight line, "My rent it due in a month, then I'm free to live where ever I deem worthy."
"Great," he smiled down at me as his hands wrapped around me, holding me against him, "Maybe an apartment in California? Probably located somewhere near my place, obviously."
I nodded happily, "Sounds great," I said happily, but paused, "On one condition," he watched me closely, "I get to meet Tyler."
"He's going to love you," he said, swaying on his feet with me as his eyes drifted to look down at my lips for a moment, "I can't wait."
There was another knock on the back door, and we glanced back to see Anthony stepping outside, "Hey, man," Lasercorn's smile formed into a straight line when he heard Anthony's voice. As Anthony stepped towards us, Lasercorn's arms dropped to his side, "I'm sorry to intrude, but I didn't get a chance to apologize earlier." Lasercorn quickly glanced down at me before locking his eyes on Anthony, "I'm really sorry for everything I did." He told him, "Take care of her, and don't do what I did because you'll regret it for the rest of your life. You deserve her man, and I really hope you can forgive me."
"I forgive you," Lasercorn said to him willingly and Anthony nodded, flashing me a hesitant smile before moving back into the cabin and walking away.
"Are you ready to go to bed?" Lasercorn asked me and I shrugged, not wanting to shut my eyes and miss another moment, "I would suggest something, but since we are just friends, you may consider it inappropriate." He smirked at me, pulling me against him as his hands moved to hold my lower back.
"And what would you suggest, David?" I asked him with a smile as I slightly tilted my chin up.
His eyes fell to look at my lips, and his thumbs moved to hook onto my belt loops, his fingers reaching towards my back pockets, "I would suggest going change into your little red bikini and meeting me in the hot tub after everyone is asleep."
"What could be inappropriate about two friends alone in a hot tub after everyone is asleep?" I asked him with a smirk as he inched towards me.
He brushed my bangs out of my face and brushed our noses together, a smile tugging at his lips when he said, "Let's find out."
The End.
