Ruby And Weiss

In the Morning

Ruby's POV

I woke up and saw that Weiss was hugging to me, I would've stayed but I wanted to get up, not trying to wake up Weiss I got up. I recovered her with my cloak and let her keep using it. I went downstairs and heard talking in the kitchen. When I got there I saw Winter and gasped. She must of heard me and turned to look at me.

"Hello Ruby!"

"Hi Winter!, what are you doing here?"

"I decided to come and visit, I also have already visited your Mother."

"Oh ok."

"I also heard that Weiss is here!"
"Yeah she's upstairs sleeping."

"Ok. Anyway Tai I can't stay long, but I will wait till Weiss is up."

"Ok that's fine with me, I'm not bu..."

"Huh Winter!"

I looked behind me to see Weiss with my red cloak around her. I smiled and waved, she waved back and handed my cloak back and hugged Winter while I put my cloak back on.

"Winter what are you doing here?"
"Visiting an old friend."

"Wait.... You knew Ruby's father!!!"
"Yes when you were little we used to visit Ruby on this island. You and Ruby were best friends."

Weiss looked at me shocked and I just stood there. After a little bit Weiss noticed I wasn't shocked like she was and asked me why I wasn't. So I told her that Dad had told me already.

Later that Day

Ruby's POV

Winter had left to go back home and Dad had some work to do in Vale. So Weiss and I stayed here. I had also gotten a call from Yang that she and Blake were done with their mission and were heading back to our dorm. After the call I went to the kitchen and grabbed ingredients to bake cookies and started mixing them together.

Weiss's POV

I was in the living room and heard something going on in the kitchen. I walked to the kitchen to see Ruby baking something. I walked up to her asked her what she was baking.

"Hey Ruby what are you baking?"

"I'm making chocolate chip cookies."
"What recipe are you using?"

"My mom's"

"Oh, well could I have some when they are done."

"Sure!"

Ruby's POV

When the cookies were done I ate some of them with Weiss. When we were done we watched a movie, I picked a scary movie and Weiss said she doesn't get scared by scary movies, but that was proved wrong, when there was a scary part Weiss would get scared and start hugging me. I would laugh when that would happen and Weiss would get embarrassed. The movie was almost over when we both fell asleep leaning on eachother.

The Next day

Weiss's POV

I woke up and found that Ruby was next to me and was hugging me. Not wanting to wake her up I stayed in bed and kissed her forehead, I didn't mind that I was being hugged and soon fell asleep again. I woke up again after some time and saw Ruby was waking up. I got up and was walking out the door when I remembered I wanted to ask her something.

"Hey Ruby"

"Yes Weiss?"

"I been wanting to ask this, but I don't know if I should."

"Go ahead Weiss."
"Well.., how did your Mother die?"

After I asked I saw Ruby freeze up.

"Oh I'm sorry I asked that!"
"No it's fine, it's just sad."

"Oh!"

"I was 5 or 6 when she died. She said she was gonna go out on a mission and wasn't gonna be back for a few days. When she left Yang and I would play games and help our Dad. We waited till it was the day Mom was gonna come home. I waited all day at the window hoping she would be here soon, but when she didn't I got worried and my Dad told me she probably was gonna be delayed coming home. When it the next day she didn't come home either, I was sad started crying. It wasn't till after a few days we got a message saying that she died. I cried all day long and locked myself in my room."

I was listening to Ruby and saw was crying. "Ruby...". I sat next to her, hugged her and comforted her.
