I don't recall how it started. Perhaps it was the reflection of the sunlight against the opaque of your eyes, or the way they crinkled when you smiled. How you walked - almost shyly, clutching your belongings to your chest, placing one foot in front of the other in an oh-so-careful manner.
I noticed none of these.
I didn't notice most of you at first.
The only thing I did notice - how you looked so aloof, standing next to your group of friends.
You didn't catch my eye. I found myself drawn to the others, the ones that were more charismatic, louder, brighter. You were a mystery.
Thinking back, I remembered being drawn to you eventually. I just had to get closer, closer to you, and I didn't know why. It scared me. I wasn't supposed to feel this way.
Obsession is a funny thing. You get lost in it.
And eventually you lose yourself.
