The bell rang signalling that the class has ended. Jason turned his head to look at the seat next to him only to see that it was empty.

He raised his eyebrows while looking at the vacant seat which before had the honour of having the school's newest student sitting on it. He grabbed his backpack and walked out of class with Jake.

"Man, the new chick is smoking hot." Jake said and patted his friend's back.

"Yeah she is."

"Speak of the devil, there she is." Jake pushed Jason in the direction of the new girl who's name is still unknown to them. He only knows her surname.

Jason rubbed the back of his neck while waiting for the two preppy cheerleaders -who love to throw out party- to finish talking to the new girl.

"Hi Jason! Check your phone, there's details about the party there." Breanna told him before walking off while dragging her best friend, Cynthia along with her.

"Thanks!" He hollered after her before turning to look at the new girl who was already staring at him. "Are you going to the party tonight?"

"Yeah, a nice place to meet the students of Kingston High." She shrugged before stretching one of her hands out. "My name is Helena." She smiled while looking at him straight in the eyes.

Jason grinned. "A very beautiful name for a very beautiful girl."

She chuckled at that. "As I've been told several times."

"My name is Jason, Jason Xavier. But you can call me tonight." He winked at her trying to crack some jokes with her.

"Why call you tonight when I could call you right now?" She purred before winking at him back. He bit his lips subconsciously at that, fuck she is so beautiful.

"By the way uhm," he bit his lips nervously before voicing out the question he had been meaning to ask her. He didn't know why he was so nervous. It's not like he was asking her out on a date and most girls would immediately answer yes if he did ask them which he didn't do since he had a girlfriend. A girlfriend that cheated on him with another guy. He shook his head to get rid of the thought.

But I mean like how can one say no to him? Nevertheless it doesn't really help that the girl standing before him could make people melt by just looking at her.

"You told me you are going to the party tonight right?"

"Yeah, would you be there?" She asked him in hope that he would come so there would at least be one familiar face that she knows.

"Yeah I would be there. I just wanna know if you need a ride to go there?" He asked hoping for her to say yes.

"But that would be troublesome for you since you're gonna have to pick me up and drop me off after the party," She bit her lips in thought.

"Nah, it wouldn't be a problem if you are the one that I have to pick up and drop off after." He grinned widely showing off his pearly white teeth.

She hummed at that and put her index finger and thumb to her chin in fake thought. "So if it was your friend you wouldn't go through all the hard works just for him?"

Jason mimicked her actions and frowned as if he was deep in thought. "Nope." He shrugged.

She laughed and pointed at something behind him. "And i'm assuming they are your friends?"

"Who?" He raised his eyebrows before turning around to look at the direction she was pointing at. He groaned at the sight of his friends who were trying to show support by giving him thumbs up. "Yeah, kind of. Sorry about that." He scratched the back of his neck.

She smiled at his cute actions. "It's okay, what's the function of friends if they don't embarrass you right?" She waved at his group of friends who waved back in excitement.

"You are too cute," he chuckled.

"Thanks, I think you are cute too." She winked at him.

"Wait, did I say that out loud?" He asked himself in shocked.

"Yes you did," She scrunched her nose before laughing. "I think your friends are waiting for you over there."

"Yeah, sorry." He chuckled in nervousness. "I think I should go now, bye. See you at the party tonight?"

"Yeah, sure." She grinned at him, watching him walked off to his group of friends. "See you at the party tonight." She said to herself.
