X. Sunrise

The following weeks were full for both.

Maine was getting a lot of work from students who would be joining proms and brides and their entourages for weddings in a few months.

Rj had his regular Monday to Sunday work, was booked for out-of-town shows, endorsement shoots and appearances. Add to that, he was busy planning for her birthday surprise.

In those two weeks, they were only able to see each other twice. One, when they picked Rj's choice to workout together.

The second, they picked Maine's activity to have sex, which they had to postpone because she was on her period.

"Balik na muna natin 'to sa jar," said Rj.

"What?! No. Use the magnet on the ref and stick it there. We'll do that in a few days."

"No. We are not posting that on your ref for any of your guests to see. Ibabalik natin sa jar. Bubunot muna ako ulit."

The replacement was: Go down on each other.

"Maine! Ano ba tong pinaglalalagay mo dito?" He looked at her incredulously.

"Ummm my wishes?"

"Ilang ganito yung nilagay mo?"

"Errr 8? Or maybe tennn...welve?"

"12? More than half?!"

Maine peppered his face with kisses. "Galing, galing naman! Alam mo na ang 12 ay more than half of twenty!"

Rj swatted her arms away. "Wag mo ako daanin sa ganyan." He took the jar and got another piece.

"Huy! Yung kanina nalang!"

"Hindi din pwede nga yun. Meron ka pa."

"I can do that naman to you." She shrugged.

"Kingina. Wag kang ganyan, hirap na hirap na akong magpigil. Change nalang." He unrolled the paper slowly. "Watch the sunrise."

She smiled. "Uy, that's nice." She sighed. "Okay then, see you early tomorrow?"

"Nope."

"Huh?"

"Get up. Pack your stuff."

"Ha?"

"Your view here is not to good to see it tomorrow. Dun tayo sa condo ko matutulog, then let's head to the pool area sa umaga."

"Sleepover?!"

"Yup! Because I know mahihirapan lang akong gisingin ka that early. At least dun, I can just carry you."

It was the first time they would be sleeping in Rj's bed, Maine thought.

"Bakit mo naman naisip yung sunrise?" He asked, already drowsy some time later that night, when they were about to sleep. They were in bed, facing each other.

"I've never done it before," she replied, eyes already closed. "Alam mo naman hindi ako nagigising ng maaga."

He chuckled. "Maine?"
