Third Person P.O.V

Two Months Earlier

The sun had set three hours ago. The sky was as dark as ink. The stars were out shining brightly against the dark background. It was quite a pleasing sight to behold; the sparkling stars and cloudless sky with the city miles and miles away.

This, along with a few terrorist and trucks that surrounded her, would be Irene Adler's last sight before she died. With trembling hands she sent two last texts: one to Sherlock Holmes and one to her Teddy bear.

That night when the code to her phone had been cracked Irene couldn't help but hope that Sherlock and Teddy would show her mercy. When Sherlock left Irene was devastated. When Teddy also turned away from her Irene was completely destroyed. She never thought that Teddy would leave her to die. They had so much history, how could someone just forget about it so quickly like it had never happened?

Irene didn't realize how much Teddy had been hurting inside until she had left.

Irene handed her phone to the guard standing over her. She heard the steps of her executioner coming closer and closer until they stopped beside her. She was so scared. Her breath was caught in her throat. If the executioner didn't hurry Irene would probably die of suffocation trying to keep her sob at bay.

Irene heard the executioner move. His machete was raised high, ready to swing down and end her life. She closed her eyes....

And opened them at the sound of an orgasmic sigh.

Irene's eyes flickered up to her executioner's face. Though she could only see his sharp eyes Irene knew exactly who it was.

"When I say run," Sherlock murmured. "Run."

Then he swung the machete through the air, turning around as he did so, and attacked the men who had brought her here. Irene, with happiness in her teary eyes, didn't need to be told twice. She stood up and ran, her robes fluttering all around her. She heard the commotion behind her but didn't look back, afraid that she might freeze and decide to go help Sherlock. There were a dozen or so men, some which had guns. Sherlock wouldn't stand a chance!

As Irene ran she heard the screech of tyres behind her. Bullets were fired, the shots loud and making Irene run even faster. The air she breathed in was burning her lungs and her legs were shaking. The vehicle was getting closer. Irene continued to run but panic was gripping her heart tight. She wouldn't be able to outrun it! She wouldn't be able to escape! Both she and Sherlock would die here on a late spring night.

The vehicle- a land rover- was beside her in a second, quickly cutting her off with a tight spin. Irene skidded to a halt, her eyes wide and her breath coming in sharp, quick pants. The passenger door of the rover opened and the driver leaned forward.

"What are you doing standing there? Come on!"

"Teddy?!"

Teddy leaned further forward, her eyes glowing silver in the light inside the rover, and she stretched out her hand.

"Duh, now lets move!"

Irene grabbed Teddy's hand and pulled herself into the vehicle. As she closed her door Teddy slid back into the driver's seat and pressed her foot down onto the accelerator hard. The rover lurched forward, slamming Irene back against her seat.

"Oh my God, Teddy," Irene breathed. "What are you and your brother doing here?"

"Enjoying the city of Karachi," Teddy said sarcastically. "Have you tried their food? It's divine! What do you think we're doing here, Ree? Saving your ass of course."
