Let me tell you, being a new student at a new school is a scary thing. Especially when you didn't know where to go and what you were doing. It felt weird just wandering around a school with no knowledge of where to go. It was also weird how the school didn't at least give me someone to help me find my classes throughout the day. I mean do they really expect me to wander around all day clueless? I guess so.

I walked down the hallway, my schedule in my hand. I stared at the numbers on the doorways and compared them to the ones on the sheet of paper. With a heavy sigh I decided that I was just going to have to deal with missing my first class because I was completely lost. There was honestly no use in trying because I'm already ten minutes late to class as it is.

"Hey," a voice spoke from behind me, scaring me a little bit. I turned around quickly and was face-to-face with another student. I assumed she was my age, but I couldn't be too certain. She smiled at me, "You must be the new girl? I'm Kali Bradshaw," she introduced herself.

I gave a small smile back, "I'm Krystal Parker. That would be crystal with a 'k'. And could you help me? I'm kind of lost at the moment," I explained nervously.

She nodded, grabbing my schedule from my hands, "I already know we have first period together because my teacher sent me to go find you," she notified me. She then scanned the paper before speaking again, "Luck must be on your side because we appear to have all the same classes," she informed me. "Kind of weird, too. But, then again, its happened to a lot of students in the school before," she half-heartedly laughed, furrowing her brows together

I felt a wave of relief flood over me, "Thank heavens I won't be alone all day," I mumbled, loud enough for her to hear me. I was afraid I was going to spend the whole day searching for my classes and being lost, but luckily I won't.

She laughed at my comment, "Our first class is just on the other side of this hallway," she explained and we made our way to our class. Kali then made a sudden stop in front of a guy who was leaning over a girl; they appeared to be fighting, maybe?

He let out a sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose, "You're really annoying, you know?" He sarcastically said. "Being with you was a mistake." His voice was surprisingly deep.

Kali then cleared her throat before the girl could reply. The girl then sent Kali and I a glare. "Shouldn't you be in class, Marcus?" Kali asked her voice filled with authority. I'm assuming they were friends or something. I don't really know.

'Marcus' turned to face her, and let out a sigh. He was honestly gorgeous. He had a dark olive complexion, and the emerald green eyes just enforced this fact. His brown hair was perfectly trimmed and styled with gel to keep the hair in the front of his face to face the sky. Being around him is actually quite overwhelming, but I liked being in his presence.

"Shouldn't you just butt off?" He retorted, and the girl began to snicker at what he had just said. Cross friends off the list. It's clear that they are not friends and they do not like each other. His eyes then trailed over to me and glanced me up and down. I watched as the right side of his lips began to move upward forming a smirk, "And who is this?" He asked his voice was incredibly smooth.

I rolled my eyes. Guys like this must be everywhere, huh?

Kali quickly stepped in front of me quickly, "Keep your eyes on your current project because this one is off limits, Marcus," she spoke.

He rolled his eyes, "Well, excuse me for wanting to meet someone new," he mumbled with annoyance tracing his voice.

Kali scoffed, "You just want to do your nasty deed her because you're that kind of person," she stated sternly. When then carried onwards to our class.
