We now find ourselves in Zaban City. There's so many stalls and booths selling items that vary. I'm almost too absorbed in the goods being sold to pay attention to the navigator. "Hey! Owen look at that!" Gon points at a really cool looking knife. Tempted, must not buy. I manage to leave the booth. That was close. I look around for Gon he's at a stand that sells these strange frog like creatures. I run over to Gon and we look around together. A booth has beautiful brooches, if I was older maybe I'd buy one. The lady tells us about to object she says it's probably a national treasure. Well, I may like shopping but I ain't buying that non-sense. If it's a national treasure then why is it at a street vendor's in Zaban City? I pull Gon along with me so we can catch up with the navigator.

"Isn't this great Owen?" Gon asks me with curiosity and excitement. I nod, "Yeah! It's a complete change from back home." Despite missing home a bit I'm still really enjoying myself. I've made new friends, learned about Nen, got to meet magical beasts, found another Kurta, and now I'm in disguise. I feel like a secret service agent! I hope everythingelse goes as planned. "I wonder if Mito-san would like anything here." Gon suddenly says. I look around. "I'm sure there's plenty of things Mito-san would like, when we get the chance we should come back." Gon mumbles a yeah. He probably misses home too.

"We now arrive at the Exam site!" The navigator says. We look at a tall building. The light hits the glass on it making it glint. However something seems a bit off. I look back at the navigator while the boys marvel at the building. He's standing a bit far from us with a smirk on his face. Next to him is an run down building. I walk over. "Guys, I think this is the building." Leorio's jaw drops before yelling. "What?! You expect that to hold hundreds of applicants?!" Kurapika walks forward then stands next to me. "I suppose it makes sense. It's definitely less...obvious." I nod after his explanation. Gon runs and manages to squeeze his way in between the navigator and I. Leorio looks at the Kiriko son for confirmation. "I believe the two are correct, this is the site." Leorio mumbles under his breath before stomping over. How immature. We follow the man into the little building. Huh. It's a restaurant, cool.

A nice look guy, presumably the chef, greets us with a welcome. "Is the back room open?" Our navigator asks. The chef gains a suspicious look. "What will you have?" Our navigator takes no time in responding. "The steak combo that opens your eyes to the light. For four." He finishes. You could visibly see the chef tense up. "How would you like them?" He says with his eyes narrow. "Grilled over a low flame, until well cooked." He replies holding up a finger. All distrust and suspicion leaves the chef. "Got it. Let yourselves into the back room." He turns back to whatever he's cooking. The navigator nods.

We're lead to a red and rustic room. He tells us to wait here and Leorio questions him and asks where the others are. Gon speaks up. "I can't wait for the steak combo!" Kurapika then says "That was just the password to get in here, we won't be getting any food." I slump my shoulders. "Aw, I was really hungry too..." I sigh. Man I thought we were going to get food! "Seriously Owen?" Kurapika gives me a I-thought-you-were-smart kind of look. I rub the back of my head, Kurapika shakes his head a bit. Then he pats mine. We hear a click and look at Leorio who's whistling and looking around. Did he...take a picture? We stare at him a bit before he yells "WHAT?! ITS FOR MY SHIPPING FOLDER!" He flails his arms around a camera in hand. What's...a shipping folder? I cringe. Actually I don't want to find out. A cough gets our attention. "One in every ten thousand...the number of applicants who make it this far. You've all done exceptionally well for first-timers. Well, good luck." He stops talking. Von and I reach out a hand. Well we had the same idea. Gon thanks the man. It takes him a second before reaching out and shaking my brothers them on my hand. It's almost as if no one has every thanked him. "I would be happy to serve as your navigator next year as well." He says before exiting the room. The door closes.
