A x Surprising x Challenge

The stone doors-wait no, they're more like gates. The stone gates open. We're greeted by two people. A woman with blue almost green hair, it's done in the most peculiar style. She's wearing a mesh top with her bra oh-so clear and present, Jean shorts go with her outfit and tall heels that assist her height. Behind her sits a very large man. He adorns a yellow shirt and is actually barefoot. The woman uncrosses her legs and begins to stand. "Will all the applicants who passed the first phase enter? Welcome. I'm Menchi the second phase examiner." We move our focus to the other person. "And I'm Buhara the other examiner." Huh, okay. Suddenly a loud rumble is heard. Haha...sounds like Kon when he's hungry. The applicants look around in panic. Menchi simply looks at Buhara. "You must be hungry?" Wasting no time in responding Buhara says "I'm starving..." Menchi smirks. Looking back at the crowd she starts "There you have it...the second phase will include..."-please, please say it-"cooking!" A few people voice their shock. I'm still for a moment Killua waves his hand in my face. "Is he okay?" He asks Gon. Gon just smiles and nods. "AH YEAH! COOKING!" I scream and two other voices join me. I look around, Raina and Alaina yelled alongside me. I smile and wave at Raina. The three of us get glares from the other applicants. Todo-the wrestler guy- begins to speak. "Cooking...? We came here to take the Hunter Exam!" Menchi continues to explain. "That's right. Which is why, the second phase will be creating a dish that satisfies both our palates." Todo goes to speak yet again. "Why cooking though?" Menchi smirks. "That's because we are, Gourmet Hunters!" Woah! That's a thing?!

Laughing ripples through the crowd. Thankfully not from my group of friends. I swear if they laughed I was gonna stab then gouge out their eyes. While everyone in the crowd was murmuring and laughing at the two, I was internally fangirling. I think Alaina and Raina were too since when I looked over Hisoka was trying-and failing- to calm down the two girls. Needless to say the creepy magician didn't look so creepy anymore. I felt slightly bad for the woman and man up there. I suppose I could give them some credit...I inhale. "That's so cool! Is being a Gourmet Hunter fun?!" I yell from in the crowd. Everyone looks at me. "Yeah! Do you go on crazy adventures?!" That was Raina. First time I heard her lose her cool. Next up was Alaina. "Is it difficult?!" Somehow we all managed to form into a little group at the edge of the flooring. The two new examiner's stared at us before smiling. Menchi mouths to us. 'We'll speak later.' Silently we all cheer and run back to our groups. Once I make it back my group their reactions are mixed. Gon fistbumps me, Kurapika smiles at me, Leorio is surprised, and Killua looks disgusted. I stick my tongue out at the white haired boy. Then I take my place in between Gon and Kurapika. Yet again Kurapika manages to place his hand on my head. A camera clicks. "So, Gourmet Hunters. What are we cooking?" Todo asks with a snicker. Poor Menchi. She looks absolutely enraged. "Buhara." She says. The man stands and walks forward. "The required ingredient is pork."-oh that's easy-"You may use any species of pig in the Bisca Forest. You must use the cooking facilities here."-they are pretty exceptional-"The exam will end when we have eaten our fill." The Todo man shrugs him off. "We get it. We get it. Let's just start already." Menchi says one more finally thing. "We'll be grading on more than just taste. Don't underestimate the intricacies of cooking." With that Buhara hits his stomach which strangely represents a gong. Yeah, I don't think that's healthy. I pay no mind though and run out with my group.

We begin walking around. "So Owen, you like cooking?" Kurapika asks. I smile and nod. "I used to cook a lot with my aunt. It was a lot of fun. A good substitute when I didn't feel like going out and exploring with Gon." Man, I really miss home. I sniff the air. Nope no pigs here. We continue walking. "You and Gon are like dogs..." Killua mumbles. Suddenly a mop of white is hanging upside down from a tree. Ugh Alaina. A pink head of hair shows up. I perk up. "Hi Raina!" She smiles at me. "Hello Owen." I wave at her. "You two are...friends?" Leorio asks. I nod at him "Yep!" The four boys sweat-drop while Alaina looks at Raina with betrayal. "Who would've thought you'd be friends with you enemies sister." Kurapika says and laughs a bit. I shrug and start smelling the air. Pigs. Nudging Gon and gesturing to where I smelt them he copies me. With a firm nod we start walking off. The group of boys follow us as well as Alaina and Raina. "Man this phase is going to be easy, how hard is it to catch and cook a pig?" Don't jinx us Leorio. We find the source. The pigs are at the bottom of the hill. Gon and I waste no time in sliding down. We hear Killua sliding down with us. Gon suddenly stops causing me to crash into him, Killua crashes into me, Kurapika, Leorio, Alaina, then Raina. "What the heck Gon?!" Killua yells at him. We pay no mind and look at the pigs. They are chewing on bones. "Uh, are they eating bones?" Leorio asks a obvious question. "Dont tell me...they're carnivores." With what Kurapika said the pigs look at all of us before head heading full charge.
