Walking out of the Roaming-eye we were greeted by large disk-like platforms. "The Homeworld Warp!" Pearl gasped, "I haven't been here in ages! Isn't it magnificent, my Moonstone? I recall the time when these were being produced!"
"Pearl, most of these are broken," I said, staring at what I assume are warps. The location itself looked beaten down by time. Large pillars stood all around us, these warps almost looked like they were assembled in a pattern.
"What. Oh, my stars! She replied, "Amethysts, on your way back to Homeworld, will you please order some Flask Robonoids to fix this up?"
"Eh, fine. Whatever you say, Pearl." Burgandy eyes glared, and you can feel her hatred for Pearl. The Diamonds say that she's not a full gem. I understand that but do other gems have to hate her for it? "We need to get going. Blue Diamond only ordered to bring you two to Earth, then return home. When you capture and bubble Rose Quartz call us."
"Let's find an active warp. There must be one somewhere." I tell Pearl.
"Right!" *Gasp* "My Moonstone, Get behind me now."
"Wait! I'm not here to hurt you!" shrieked an unknown enemy.
Running to the source of the sound I see her, Rose Quartz. She is pretending to be a human child, small and weak, like me. She's short, with black hair. Why would she pretend to be this? This is nothing like her original form shown to me. I can't wrap my head around it at all. "Pearl! capture her!" I scream. We can't let her get away.
"Eek! Let me help you!" She continued, retreating to a warp; "Why are you here? We can work this out without a fight."
Without fighting? The rebel doesn't want to fight? It's too late Pearl has already pulled out her ivory sword, "Stop! Let's hear what she has to say!"
"But my Moonstone, she-"
"Pearl, we need her alive, not broken." Rose, please tell us the location of your army before we detain you. Fighting us will only worsen the situation for you." Im struggling to remain upright, the world around me begins to spin, and I feel nauseous. Im just scared right? That has to be it.
"Im not Rose, how many times do I have to explain this? My name is Steven!" 'Steven' responded.
I need to keep focus. Want to close my eyes. My stomach hurts I'm cold. I need to stay conscious; 'Steven' is right here. I can't fail.
"We don't care what you call yourself." My Pearl shouted, guarding me.
Suddenly I hear the warp, "Steven, are you okay!?" A raspy voice yelled as she ran in front of Steven.
Another gem, I'm barely keeping myself upright, now this? She's a freaking behemoth! Not to mention the gauntlets. If she doesn't shatter me, the Diamonds will, I can't fight her! I'll fail no matter what! I'm so screwed! "I'm Moon-" It all fades to black.
Poof! Shoomp!
"Oh my God, Steven, she's bleeding!"
Ugh, what's that high-pitched squealing?
"I'll heal her it's fine!"
"No Steven, it's not! She's human, with a gem!"
I know that voice...Oh shit, the big one.
I jump up, the room still spinning around me, nausea still escalating. I'm on a ship, I think? but it's not moving. the floors and walls are made of organic material. A warp pad, I can make my escape with Pearl! For now, I'll have to ignore my ailments, Pearl and I need to retreat and make another plan. "Pearl, attack!" I shouted, finally steady on my feet. Grr. "Where is my Pearl?"
"Are you hungry?" Steven asked.
"Don't get off topic with me. I need my Pearl! Wait, you know what that noise means?" This 'Steven' persona may actually be of use, it's also a plus that she didn't try to shatter me immediately.
"You're hungry, you need to eat. " She responds, walking to a cold box with a familiar object in hand. "Here, let me get you an apple."
"That looks so familiar, do they come in purple? It looks like something I remember." I grab the apple from his hand and try to remember 'eat'. As expected, I don't know what I'm doing.
"Uh, put it in your mouth. Then chew and swallow when it's all mushy." Steven informed me. "I don't think they come in purple."
"Oh, thank you uh, Steven." I'll have to get used to this, she is helping alleviate my incessant nausea, and that's worth something. "Yes! now I can continue with my mission! I just need to eat!"
"So, what is your mission?" Someone's Pearl chimed in. Wow, do they make these things in a factory or something? My Pearl and her are almost the same entity, forehead gem, short hair, large nose, thin and tall as well. Although there are a few key differences, this Pearl is light-haired, her gem is white with a hue of pink. She certainly does not dress like any pearl I've ever seen. No lace, no ruffles.
"Whose Pearl is this? Speaking of, I need my Pearl back for my mission. You were the one to say we didn't need to fight." I respond. This Pearl does not look pleased.
"Excuse me? We are not giving 'your' Pearl back until you tell us your mission." I'm just going to have to ignore her until I figure out who her owner is. "Are you even listening?"
"You're an Amethyst, right?" I say to the small purple gem in the back, other than stature she's a carbon copy of the last Amethyst I saw, hopefully, she's less condescending.
"Excuse me, mysterious enemy!!!"
"Uh yeah, I'm Amethyst." Amethyst glances over to the side, avoiding eye contact.
"I'm not anyone's Pearl!" Ugh, she's not gonna stop.
"Let's chat. Could you have Pearl lower her tone? She's very loud. I'm happy to speak to her but this is a conversation for the highest-ranked. Shouldn't we be negotiating?"
She starts to glare at me, "Why do you Homeworld gems always think I'm in charge? Garnet is the leader, Pearl is second in command, then Steven, then me."
"Well, then. Garnet?" I respond.
"Pearl has no master. You have to talk to her yourself." Garnet mumbled.
"Finally, thank you, Garnet!"
Earth is so different from what I've been taught, a Pearl who does whatever she wants. Mine isn't much better, but still. The Amethyst is small and meek, Rose is pretending to be a child, and I don't even know what the hell Garnet is!
I must acquiesce. "Fine, I will tell you my plans on the condition that my Pearl is returned to me now."
"If you insist, I put her in my room, I thought she would enjoy the scenery more than in the basement. I'll go get her."
