As the back door of the house emits a white glow, the rebel Pearl emerges, clutching onto a bubble, "My Pearl!"
"Yes, I have her right here... uh, what's your name?" She asked.
Wow, did I never tell them who I am? My Pearl and I have been in enemy territory for hours, and I didn't even think to mention that. Am I supposed to tell them that? I don't know anything without Pearl! Jeez. Couldn't the Diamonds have trained me previous to sending me on such an intense mission? "My name is Moonstone, unbubble my Pearl, I need her!"
"Very well." Suddenly, the bubble bursts and a glowing light emanates from my Pearls gem, "It's interesting that you're named after a gem used to explore new colonies. Do you happen to have the ability to turn invisi-?"
"Sorry, Pearl, they care not for your plot points," Garnet mumbled.
"What?"
Swoosh, "My Moonstone! Are you hurt? Did they do anything to you?" My Pearl screams, sprinting towards me.
"I'm fine! Are you okay?" I shouted in return. Her body presses up against mine, wrapping her arms around me.
Everyone is staring mouths agape. This must be wrong. Why else would they look at us like that? Pearl seems shocked that my Pearl would act this way. Garnet, on the other hand, looks thrilled, "Uh, Pearl."
"Yes?" Both Pearls respond simultaneously.
"Okay, this is getting confusing. Moonstone's Pearl needs a nickname! We need to figure this out before we do anything else!" Steven rubbed his face, clearly annoyed.
"Steven is right. This is getting pretty confusing. Also, please let go of me." Finally, she lets go. My uniform is now sopping wet from where her face was.
"Why do I need a nickname? As a Pearl of higher prestige, that thing should get a nickname. I am the Pearl of a one-of-a-kind gem, after all." My Pearl sniffled, wiping her face of the tears she didn't leave on my uniform.
"Pearl,"
"Yes, my Moonstone?"
"Choose a nickname, please. Then we can finally start negotiations. Im getting tired of this." I wanna go home, I don't even know where it is, I can't remember but I want to go. In my mind, it doesn't feel like Homeworld. It's different. If this nickname thing will get this over with, so be it. Maybe they'll see it as an act of good faith.
"How about a human name?" Suggests the previously quiet Amethyst. "Oh, I know how about Luna? Since you love your precious Moonstone so much. Mauh, Mauh." She proceeds to do kissy faces. Lovely.
"Fine, that will do." Pearl- I mean Luna scoffs. "Now, Negotiations."
"There are no negotiations. Go home, and tell them the cluster is on the verge of erupting. You needed to leave, and you never come back!" Garnet's voice grew louder and louder with each word, rage building up.
"I might be a Pearl, but not even I am taking orders from an abomination." Luna retorted.
The room goes silent, "What did you call me!?" Shit. Already in action, she equips her gauntlets, -Shit- and lunges toward Luna Shit. Shit. Shit.
Amethyst jumps in front of Garnet, "Dude, she's not worth it. Let it go." The room's energy visibly lightens. "Okay, I hate to be the one to act like an adult here but, no name-calling. We need to be nice to each other. Moonstone, your existence scares the hell out of us. We need to learn about you, and you guys don't want to be bubbled or killed. So, let's work together."
"I agree with her, we need to sort this out," Pearl asserts.
"We should get Lapis and Peridot," Steven interjects. "But we can't leave them alone. Moonstone and I will stay here. You three go to the barn with Luna."
