Brandon's P.O.V

I grew red as I read her message over and over.

LucyFizzy: "Damn, I'm gonna be honest, Brandon. You're way more attractive than I imagined. 😂"

Of course I'd smile larger than usual. Though I couldn't hear her smooth voice, just knowing she took the time into planted those words with her soft looking fingers, made me happier than a dog given bacon.

The entire afternoon, I replayed our conversations in my head. It's like was a movie replaying over and over after the credits. I liked her more than I thought, every time I saw her name pop up either on my mobile device or in my thoughts. My heart would quicken, causing me to blush.

But, it didn't last long, as my sister barged into my room. Plopping onto my bed. I glanced at her, studying her outfit. She was wearing grey sweat pants, a over-sized white t-shirt, and her hair was curly and damp. I'm guessing she just took a shower.

"It's called knocking, try it sometime." I tell her, staring at my book case.

"Nah. Anyways, I'm bored, entertain me." Clem sighed as she finished her sentence.

"You're always bored. Why don't you go outside or something, like a normal 14 year old."

"You're saying that as if you're like 38, with four kids. And going through a middle age crisis."

I roll my eyes at her, turning over on my stomach as I grab my white pillow under my chest.

"I know about Lucy, I'm not stupid." She blurted out.

"Ya, and you're totally not an eavesdropper either." I say sarcastically.

"Whatever, but what's going on with you two. Anything, spicy?" She smirks.

I scrunched my nose, trying to hide my embarrassment. "No, we're just friends. Besides, I've only known her a week, so chill."

"That's an incorrect statement, you've talked to her for a week. But, you've stalked her for like a year now."

"You are making it seem as if I'm a creep."

"That's because you are."

"If that's what you think." I finish, staring at the beige wall in front of me. I spaced out, for a minute. Till Clementine brought me back.

"Ya know, I kinda understand how you feel.." She trailed off.

"What do you mean?" I say, turning my head in her direction. Her short hair was completely dry and looked shiny and in tight curls.

"Well, I've stalked this guy, for like a month now. He's at my school, but I've never talked to him."

"That's not creepy at all."

"Shut up." She hit me. "I just, wanna get his attention. But I'd never get a guy like that.."

"He seems hot, but I don't think you need to worry about boys."

"Dude, I'm 14. I kinda do, all the girls in my school have boyfriends."

"Well, then you're different. There's nothing wrong with that."

"In what way am I different?"

I sigh. "For one, you don't have a boyfriend. Two, you're a tomboy and chopped all your hair off like a psycho. And lastly, you're my sister, you're gonna end up odd compared to other girls."

"So, you're admitting that our family is hella odd?"

"Very much so."

She laughed, pulling herself off the bed. "Well, I gotta go do something 'active'. So I'll barge in here later."
