I woke up with my hair disheveled and all over the place. I looked over to see Harry sleeping soundly in the armchair. I was about to wake him up when I realized I was a mess.

I thought that maybe I could sneak up the stairs so I could brush my hair and put on makeup, when Harry woke up.

"Good morning," Harry grinned. I covered my face with my hands, feeling extremely insecure. He raised an eyebrow. "What are you doing?"

I turned to run, only for him to grab my shoulder and turn me around. "Let go, Harry."

"Not until you tell me why you're hiding your face from me." Harry said stubbornly. I shook my head.

"It doesn't matter."

"Wait. You're not hiding your face. . . Are you?"

I stayed silent. He pried my hands from my face.

"Look, you look fine. Nothing to worry about. I swear, girls these days."

I blushed and was about to argue, but Hermione walked down.

She froze, "I'm sorry, did I interuppt something?"

"N-not at all. We were just talking." I say quietly. She eyes us.

"Ok, if you say so."

"Anyway, anything big happening today?" I asked, trying to forget what just happened. "Actually, hold that thought. I have to get ready."

I ran upstairs and combed my hair, brushed my teeth, and quickly put on some mascara and lip gloss. Not a big difference, but big enough.

I hopped down each one of the stairs. On the second to last step down, I slipped and fell on my behind.

Harry guffawed as I rubbed my butt. "Haha - oops. Not funny, sorry."

I glared at him and looked over to see Hermione's hand over her mouth. "Whatever. That hurt."

Hermione glances at us, "Anyways, when you two are done being complete imbeciles, we need to eat breakfast and go to class."

A couple weeks later, in the evening, Cassidy walked in to find the common room ecstatic.

Ron and Hermione were in there, talking excitedly. They turned to me and pointed to a bulletin board.

'HOGSMEADE WEEKEND - HALLOWEEN NIGHT'

I turned to them. "Hogsmeade!" I squeak in delight. Fred and George had told us about it before, and they made it sound like heaven on earth.

"Hogsmeade is right! Bloody hell, Fred told me there's loads of sweets," Ron ranted.

We gossiped about it for a few more minutes when Harry walked in.

Ron told Harry about it, but he seemed downtrodden.

"I can't go. Petunia and Vernon didn't sign the slip," Harry sighs.

I raise my eyebrows. "Slip? What slip?"

Hermione turns to me. "The permission slip to go, of course."

"Oh, er, I can't go," I feel a wave of disappointment hit me. "My parents didn't know."

Ron smiles a half smile at me. "Well, at least you and Harry can hang out?" He made it sound like a question, and I smiled.

"Yeah, I guess."

Harry wraps his arm around my shoulder and squeezes me quickly. "God, don't sound so excited." His sarcasm makes me smile again.

We all sit and talk for a bit until we decide to hit the hay.

When I lay down in my bed, I bite my lip in thought. No matter how happy I am to hang out with Harry, one of my best friends, I still feel upset. Hogsmeade seems like such a big deal here, and I'm going to miss out on it.

I sigh and turn over in my bed, pulling the duvet over my head.

Halloween morning, I woke up with drool running down my face. Lovely.

I quickly shower and get ready, grabbing my wand and shoving it in my pocket.

Hermione was waiting for me in the common room and I gave her a saddened smile.

We walked into the Great Hall to see Harry suppressing a depressed smile.

I took a seat across from him as Ron and Hermione promised to bring us sweets.

"Dont worry about us. See you later," I say.

After they leave, Harry and I eat in silence.

"Ergh, Harry? Don't you think that we should do homework for a while so Hermione doesn't nag us soon?"

He gives me a nod and stands up, grabbing his bag and hoisting it over his shoulder.

We walk down the long corridors slowly, giving plenty of time for thinking.

But, at the moment, I could only think about Harry.

Of course, thinking about him gives me the urge to look over at him. I do. And he's looking back.

"So," I say blandly. He shrugs.

"How do you think it is at Hogsmeade?" I ask. He frowns.

"Probably amazing. I bet they're stuffing themselves right know," he says wistfully.

I groan. "With chocolate of all kinds."

"And butter beer."

"Jelly beans."

"Lollipops."

"Chocolate frogs!" We say at the same time, causing laughter to erupt.

We finally reach the library, in a full on conversation now. The librarian shushes us when we walk in, and we laugh silently.

We get a decent amount of homework done before we get bored. "Let's go to the common room. Maybe we can find something to do there.

But when we got in there, Harry was bombarded with questions by none other than Colin Creevey.

So we left, which made the Fat Lady pretty upset. Apparently, we had woken her up from her neck.

We ended up deciding to go to the Black Lake, where we could just talk. He sat with his back to the tree, I sat a few feet away from him, staring at the lake. We sat like that for a while, and for the first time in a long while, I was peaceful.

I wish it would always be like this. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing.

But when you're friends with Harry Potter, something is bound to go wrong eventually.

Sorry for not updating for so long. I have no excuse, except for the fact that I'm lazy. Again, I'm sorry. It won't happen again.
