[not edited, so it will not make sense compared to the last chapter.]
Cassidy walked into the Great Hall, feeling astonished. Ron, Harry, and Hermione sat down, leaving me with Proffesor McGonagall.
"Well, let's have you sit on the stool up there," she said. "You will be sorted based on your personality."
I nod, and try to avoid the stares as I walk to the wooden stool. I sit down and take a deep breath. A hat is placed upon me.
"Ah. A Faye. Your father was Hufflepuff. Hmm," It spoke, and I gasped. I started to get scared. What is I dissapoint my father, what if- "Anxiety disorder. That's it. You have anxiety disorder. Well, you may not know it, but you are brave. Very brave. Don't be afraid my dear one. How about-"
"GRYFFINDOR!" he yells. The Gryffindor house cheer and clap. I brush my brown tresses out of my face, and walk to my new family.
"Good job, mate! Welcome to Gryffindor. Now less talking, more eating." Ron says to me. He grabs as much food as his arms can hold, and sets it on his plate.
"He's always rapacious like this." Hermione whispers. I nod, and turn to Harry. He smiles and gives me a thumbs up. I grin at him.
"Cassidy! Do you, um, like anybody?" Hermione asks.
"Umm, well..." I start. "Not really. I just bloody came here, Hermione. It takes a while to develop a crush."
Just then, Draco walks up.
"Why hello, Cassidy. Congrats on Gryffindor, although I personally think Slytherin is the best." he winks at me.
I smile warmly. Harry sees this, as I'm looking at him from the corner of my eye,and focuses back at Malfoy.
The thing is, I don't necessarily like Malfoy, but it's nice to have somebody like you.
I sit deeper in the wooden seat as the tension becomes thicker.
"Leave her alone." he spits at Draco.
Draconian looks at me with a boyish grin.
"Anyway, I have to go. Goodbye, Cassidy." Malfoy says finally, and walks away gracefully. I blush.
"What's with you and Draco?" Harry asks boredly, picking at his food.
"Nothing. He's just being friendly." I squeak. Harry opens his mouth to say something, but closes it.
"So, Professor Lupin was the man on the train?" I ask. Hermione nods.
"Cassidy, I don't think Draco is someone you should hang-" Harry starts, ignoring our previous conversation, but is cut off by a prefect standing up.
"Come on, follow me to your common room. This is where you will live." he says.
We walk up stairs, and I can't help but notice that Harry's hand brushes against mine.
He looks at me, and says one thing. One thing, that will change my life.
