With You [Sequel to Alone]

I walked back to the main city with Luke, not even bothering to call Park. He was just Luke's brother at that moment. At least, before I caught sight of him sucking face with Lin. Now he was the destroyer of dreams, breaker of hearts, and the biggest f-boy on Earth. Yay me, still being hopelessly in love with him... Luke's warm hand on my shoulder, turning me away from the horrid sight brought me back out of my thoughts.

Luke: "Are you okay, Ari?"- I smiled bitterly before responding, tears forming in my already red and puffy eyes.

Arianna: "Nope. Let's walk right by them and see if they can come up for air long enough to notice."- He nodded hesitantly, and we walked up to them, carrying on a conversation. We stayed a safe distance away so they could hear us, but it would seem like we didn't see him. I grabbed Luke's hand in my own, watching his face turn red.

Luke: "I'm scared..."

Arianna: "Hi, Scared, I'm Arianna!"- He laughed humongously at my cheesy dad joke. He always loved them, and I could tell every time that his laughing was sincere. I felt 2 pairs of eyes on us. I ignored it and kept walking down the street with Luke.

Park: "LUKE!!!"- Dude. You could have heard that scream from Mars... We slowly turned around and let go of each others' hands.

Luke: "Hey, Park."- Park was absolutely dumbfounded at his casualty.

Park: "wHAt dO yOu meAn hEy pARk??? I wAs woRRiEd siCk yOu dUmDuM!!!"- Luke just smiled and grabbed my hand.

Luke: "Chill, bro I'm fine. I mean, Ari found me when you wouldn't so I don't even know why you care..."- I could see Park's heart break. "You were even making out with that girl instead of looking for me, but I understand. Lin is more important than me. I guess you've gotten over hating her guts?"- Park scoffed and we started walking away before he could stop us. I could tell he was on the verge of yelling at me for not telling him about Luke, but he deserved it. He lied to me countless times. He said he loved me. Luke, once again, pulled me out of my thoughts.

Luke: "Do you still love him?"

Arianna: "What?"

Luke: "Well, you were really hurt when you saw him with Lin, and you honestly don't seem like yourself anymore. I don't know, I might be wrong. I just liked your sincere self a little better."- I could only nod and hold back tears. This change wasn't for the better. It was to hide the grief. The grief of losing ChimChim.

Arianna: "You're right, I just-"- I paused before finishing my thought. "I just wish he hadn't changed either."- I could see Luke's face fall.

Luke: "You and me both."- We kept on holding hands until I brought him home. "I guess this is my stop..."- I nodded and gave him a tight hug before attempting to walk out of the neighborhood. I could smell the nicotine and alcohol from across the street at my parents' house. I tried my hardest to walk faster, but I couldn't. My desperate sadness caused me to only walk slow, making moving out of the horror of my childhood seem impossible and endless.

Mom: "ARIANNA?!"
