   "Keith, I like you." Lance turned his head toward Keith, but quickly looked away.

    Keith froze

    "I really really like you. I know I don't act like it but I just-" he let out a shakey sigh and looked at his feet. He had this look on his face that just made Keith's heart sink. "Man this is hard... I-"

   Keith looked at Lance. His blue eyes were filled with panic. He was afraid Keith was going to hate him after this. He was afraid everything was gonna go wrong. He was afraid Keith didn't feel the same way. 
    He was afraid he messed up
   "... I- I know you probably don't like me back," Keith noticed Lance's hands were shaking "because I'm just... I'm just comic relief to you guys, and I'm not that important and I-"
 
    Keith felt his heart shatter.

    Lance was crying.

    "And I- I-"
    "Hey... hey don't cry..." Keith finally found his voice, "you're not just comic relief Lance... you're amazing. The team wouldn't be the same without you. You're our sharp shooter right...?"

    Lance's voice seemed cracked and broken "I'm sorry I don't know why I even-"

    "I like you too." Keith said in a hushed voice "I really really like you too."

"Keith I-" Keith didn't let him finish because he pulled him into a tight hug. Lance started crying harder and Keith didn't know if it was because he was relieved or something else.

   "Thank you..." Lance said through tears.

   Then Keith pulled away from the hug and kissed Lance. Because that's what people do when they are in love. They kiss. And Keith loved Lance. And Lance loved Keith. So they kissed. And they sat together like that for a long time.
