"Dismus?" Edgar asked again, a bit more color returning to his face. Gina just nodded and shivered in her woven shawl. "Dismus was once the apprentice of a mad scientist named Derise. Derise yearned to find the elixir of immortality. So, he spent his lifetime combining many other elixirs and ingredients to form what he wished to create."

Edgar interrupted as he yawned very loudly, "Like what?" Gina glared at him but answered his interrogation with a small mumble. "Dragon tongues, lizard tails, frog eyes, fish gills, and others." I grimaced in disgust as I heard Edgar groaning aloud, "Aw, EW!"

Gina sighed irritably but continued her tale, "But the man, foolish as he was, tested his experiments on living things....eventually, leaving the only living thing to be his apprentice, Dismus. Now, when Derise tried to test his final chemical, the elixir na beatha síoraí on his apprentice, Dismus refused. Now, remember how I had mentioned that Derise was a mad scientist? Well, Derise tortured his apprentice until Dismus finally couldn't take anymore pain and gave in to the contract. A day later, the final chemical of the elixir na beatha síoraí was injected into Dismus' neck. After the injection, Disumus became a creature of insanity.......He ripped through the chains that restrained him and murdered Derise. But the elixir was not completed for immortality. Instead, Dismus used his new-found power to destroy all living things to create a world of his own. The people being the living dead."

I covered my face and grimaced at every word. It was all too horrible to hear. Wister's voice echoed in the glacé basement, "Well, he's here now....we should do somethin...." Suddenly, there was an explosion above the basement. I heard Wister and Edgar leap to their feet. Edgar mumbled quietly, but I could hear his voice shaking, "H-hey, Wister?" Wister nodded, "What is it younger brother?" Edgar's shaking voice asked in concern, "How long was it since the old man left?" The basement fell into an immense silence before the basement door loudly creaked open.

"Old man?" Edgar whispered as he approached the light that exerted from the exit. The man who entered the basement was not the father however. "Finally, I found you....Sylvia.......the lone survivor of the Camdennels..." The voice was an icicle stabbing into my already frozen soul. My blind eyes widened in fear as I heard the owner of the voice coming closer. The man..... Wister's voice was firm and strong, similar to my once-living father. "Where is my father?" His growl reminded me of a mountain lion against another of its own, fighting against each other for their meals...

The cold-blooded man just answered with a snicker. "He tried to go against me, he did. But foolish as he was, he failed. He was some discarded matter, so fed him to my underlings." I could feel my blood drain from my face, despite it being pale already. He... "BASTARD!" Wister roared as I heard the wind whistle from the blow Wister threw at Dismus. Seconds later, I heard a groan of agony and the sound of liquid dripping to the floor. Edgar was the next to raise his voice. "Brother! Your arm!"

Dismus uttered a cackle before turning his attention back to me. "Now," he sneered, "Let's take you to where you belong." He grabbed my wrist tightly with his icy hands. His one blanc eye pierced down at me like a long, sharp spear. "H*ll." I heard Gina's crackled voice and when I heard it, I felt tears pricking behind my eyes. "You cannot defeat him now, but you must seek Old Cufyudin....He is the only one who can help you. He is located in the North Mountain where the Snow Woman lives. Be careful, you have my prayers, and good bye."

I felt a flash of bright light and in an instant, I felt myself in a rush of warm wind. We landed to an glacial area and Wister covered me with his woven, torn, yet cuddly coat. Edgar, the once haughty Edgar, was now shaking in immense fear. I don't blame him.....I felt the same nine years ago. Wister grumbled quietly as he grasped his arm, "He scarred my arm and took the old man and Gina. I need to get my revenge."

Edgar shouted at his elder brother, "How!? How do expect to win to that paranormal paranoid!?" Scoffing, Wister began to start a fire. "First of all, you used paranormal twice. Two, we have to go find and meet this Cufyudin, our grandmother speaks of. Gina said Cufyudin will be able to help us. Also, we need to help Sylvia here. We have a lot to do."
