I Loathe You

Chapter 1

Welcome to my new book! Omg it's been almost 3 years since I finished my last book, "Loving the Wrong Person", which a lot of people liked. I'm finally back with more Hiccstrid, so prepare yourselves for a lot of drama, passion, and some serious fangirl moments!

Chapter 1

"Good job on the lesson today guys", Hiccup said, "Except for you, Astrid. You fired extra shots today, try to control yourself"

"Don't make me send you to Valhalla early" she snickered as Hiccup walked out of the academy.

"What a judgy little- she's just so- ugh!" Hiccup cursed under his breathe as he was walking into town, he just wished that Astrid wasn't part of the gang, because that way he wouldn't have to see her every single day.

Hiccup arrived at the plaza, which is where he was meeting his girlfriend, Naomi.

He finally saw her and smiled. "Hey babe, how was your day?"

"It was good, Gobber gave me a promotion, I'm so excited!!" exclaimed Naomi.

"Oh, honey that's great!" Said Hiccup.

Naomi smiled, "what about you? How did your day go?"

"Eh.. I've had better days.."

"What's wrong? Was it Astrid again?" Asked Naomi, "I swear to Odin, if she doesn't back off, I will-"

"It's okay, Naomi," Hiccup interrupted, "you don't have to worry about her"

Stoick had requested a meeting in the great hall, something about a "contest" and a "big prize", it was safe to say that everybody was very excited.
All of Berk were waiting for Stoick in the great hall, lots of chattering and guessing on what the announcement might be.
Fishlegs, Snotlout, Tuffnut, Ruffnut and Astrid were all together, Hiccup and Naomi were at the front of the room, snuggling and holding hands. Astrid looked at them and made a disgusted facial expression. Snotlout notices her face and walks up to her.

"You don't have to be jealous babe, I've got you" he said.

Astrid felt her blood boil at Snotlout's comment and punched him in the face, making him fall to the ground.
"Never call me babe again and I'm certainly not jealous. Hiccup and his girlfriend can kiss my dragon's behind"

Stoick finally walked onto the wooden stage and began talking about his announcement.
"Hello, people of Berk!" The crowd cheered, "welcome, to Berk's annual village contest! This year, the board and I have something special prepared. Instead of killing something and bringing us the corpse, we decided that in order to win the contest this time, you will have to fetch us something incredibly rare! Whoever finds it, will win the big prize!"

"Ohhh I wonder what it's gonna be!" Fishlegs jumped in excitement.

"It's gonna be a statue of Loki. I just know it" Tuffnut said.

"Yeah", Ruffnut agreed, "Loki is the best!"

"Whatever it is, it better be dangerous" said Snotlout.

"Yeah, it's only fun if you get a scar out of it" said Astrid.

Everyone's attention was diverted back to Stoick, "This year, the first person to find and bring back a stone of good fortune by sundown tomorrow, wins the contest!"

Most of the audience cheered and a few Vikings gasped.
People immediately started to leave the great hall to begin the search.

"This is easy.", Astrid told Stormfly, "I know that everyone will go to Changewing Island and bring back an egg, because Changewing eggs are almost identical to stones of good fortune, but I cant be fooled that easily. I know where to find the real stone of good fortune. Tomorrow, we head to Krull Island."

Hiccup said goodnight to Naomi and walked over to his house.

"Hello, son", Stoick greeted Hiccup as he walked through the door.

"Hey, dad. How was your day?" Asked Hiccup.

"Well.. being chief is hard, but I must say I am very excited for the contest"

"Yeah, me too" said Hiccup, "alright dad, I'm going to bed. I have a big day tomorrow"

"I'm sure you do! Goodnight, son"

Hiccup noticed that Toothless was already in bed as he walked over to him.

"Hey, bud. You ready for the contest tomorrow? It's gonna be great. You know what else? Everyone is gonna think that the stone of good fortune is on Changewing Island, because Changewing eggs look extremely similar to the actual stone, but I know where the stone really is. There's a cave on Krull Island, the stone has been there for generations, and tomorrow, we're gonna go get it"
