----Iz's POV----

Anna's cooking is actually really good. I have never tasted anything like it. I wonder if she can teach me some of her recipes. I hope she will. But there has been one thing that I can't get off my mind. Ever since Anna arrived, I have been worried about how the team and my two best friends will treat her. Nix and Averie Re my best friends. Nix is the captain of the boys hockey team and Averie is my line mate. Averie, Nix, and I have been best friends since we were in diapers.

I haven't told them about Anna yet because I know what their reactions will be like. Plus Nix is in between girlfriends, so I don't want him to fall head over heels for Anna. I am worried about Averie because she gets jealous really easily. So if Averie finds out that I hang out with Anna more then I do with her, she will get will mad and have a fit about it. So I will have to calm her down. And that takes about 10 minutes to do. But I really wanted Anna to meet Nix and Averie, but they were both on vacation. They wouldn't be back until the day that my dad leaves.

Tryouts are in a week. Which means that I have to get Anna ready for them. I am confident that Anna will make the team but I have doubts that she wouldn't be good enough. But I am the captain, so that means that I have some say on who should make the team or not. Dad promised that he will help Anna and I practice tomorrow. I hope that he gives some good advice. Since he is a right winger himself. I also wanted dad to help us with some of our plays.

I was finished eating and I excused myself from the table. I put my plate in the sink and went up to my room to get my gear ready. When I heard a knock on my door. I stopped what I was doing and went over to open the door. When I opened the door to see who it was, I was perplexed. The person who knocked on the door, was Nix. I thought that the he was in Finland.

"Why are you here?" I asked as I hugged him

"Because I really missed my best friend." He said in his thick Finnish accent.

"Really? What is it really?" I asked again with an eyebrow up this time

"Well your mom told my mom about Anna and I really want to meet her." Nix answered truthfully

"Well did you, because she is helping my mom clean the dishes." I said

"Yeah I actually did. She is really nice." Nix said with a smile

"You should get to know her." I stated

"I know. How long as she been here?" He asked

"For about a month now. I think" I said

"Really. I have been gone for too long. Have you heard from Averie?" He asked

"No not since a couple of days ago. What about you?" I said

" No not since the day before I left. I was so busy in Finland that I didn't have time to message y'all" he said.

"Yeah I know. I haven't heard from her since the first two days that she was in Australia." I said as I sat on my bed and grabbed a pillow

"Yeah. I think she said that she was coming back on Friday." Nix stated

"That's the day that my dad has to go back to Montreal." I stated

"Yeah I saw him downstairs. Why is he here anyway? Not to be mean or rude." Nix questioned

"Well he surprised Anna with new gear because she needed it." I said

"Wow. Let me guess the gear had the school colors on them with her jersey number and hrw Czech flag." Nix smiled

"How did you know that?" I said marveled

"Because both bathroom doors are open and she put her new gear in her closet that is open." Nix stated as he pointed

"Oh right." I said as I got up.

"Ok let's go downstairs. I think we have caught up enough." Nix mentioned as he got up and headed to the door. I followed.

As we headed downstairs, we found that everyone was sitting in the living room watching a hockey game. But I couldn't tell who was playing or what the score was because the stairs where located away from the living room. But from what I could tell it looked like a good game. When Nix and I got closer, it turned out that I was right. The Penguins were playing the Flyers in Pittsburgh. I knew it.

The Flyers were leading the Penguins 3-2 with 2 minutes left in the third period. 15 seconds had ticked away with nothing happening. But with 1:25 left in the game, Sidney Crosby scored on a backhand. The game was tied at 3 a piece. Players lined up at center ice and the puck had dropped. Then 3 seconds had ticked off the clock and James Neal has scored on a slap shot. Now it was 4-3, Penguins. Back at center ice. Puck dropped again. Then another 5 seconds had ticked off the clock and Evgeni Malkin scored on a snap shot. Now it was 5-3, Penguins. Back at center ice. The puck dropped. But this time Claude Giroux had the puck and made it 5-4, Penguins. Back at center ice and the puck dropped again. This time Sidney Crosby had the puck and scored without any help. Making it 6-4 Penguins. Back to center ice and the puck dropped. This time both teams couldn't score. The time just kept ticking off of the clock. When the clock read 0:05, Crosby had the puck and he drove it down the ice and passed it to Kunitz, who was wide open. Then as time was running out, Kunitz scored as the time hit zero. The game was over. 7-3 Penguins. Game over.

That was an amazing game. You see, I have this thing where if there is a sports game on that my dad and or brothers are watching, I will watch the Pre-game and instantly tell I fit will be a good game or not. But if I walk into the game when it's almost over or half over, I can tell of it will be a good game or not. Yeah I know, it's kind of a gift.

Since Nix got back from Finland about an hour ago, I think that Anna, Nix, and I should hang out together so that Nix and Anna can get to know each other better. Wait but I have better idea. I can ask Nix if he wants to come and practice with me, Anna, and my dad tomorrow. But I think that he may not want to because he may want to get unpacked and get settled in first before he does anything crazy. But it's worth a try though.

So I started to look around for Nix, but I couldn't find him. So I checked all of the spots where we hid when Averie, Nix, and I played hide and seek when we were kids. But no such luck at any of the places. Then I asked my mom and she said that she left before the Kunitz goal. That's fantastic.

Wait I can still text him. So I went up to my room and looked for my phone. It was still on my bed. I went over to my bed and picked up my phone. I laid on my bed as I texted Nix. I wanted a couple of minutes for him to text back. But he didn't. But that is really weird because Nix usually texted back 2 seconds after I text him. Maybe I should try calling him. I sat up on my bed and hugged my pillow as the phone was ringing. Voicemail, crap. Dang. Oh well I will have to try later I, guess. So I went back downstairs to see if there was another hockey game on. And there was. The Dallas Stars were facing the Anaheim Ducks. Well this is going to be good.
