Chapter 16-who is Liza and big party plans

                Recap: Once again they all go shocked and Kye is the one to speak. “Ok to the mall we have a lot to tell you. The party and you need to know about Liza if you want to know Luke better.” She calls and we get into the car and on the way to the mall all I can think is who is Liza

                We all walk into the mall and I hear the screaming of little kids and families, preteen girls running around trying to find that last minute deals with guys just lagging behind. Ah old memories that I hate.

                We walk over to the food court and sit down weaving in and out of the passing customer and mall goers. I lose the girls in the crowd and side step a little girl crying. I come across the girls in the food court hogging a table all to themselves. Once I get over there they look at me with dagger eyes.

                “Sit” Kye says all serious

                I walk over to the only available seat and sit down and listen to them speak or well manly Kye speak.

                “Ok I’m gonna tell you about Liza first so we can save the party details for the fun part. Ok well last year and through eighth grade actually more like all of middle school. Luke was dating this girl named Liza. She was the artsy type with the long curly red hair always piled on top of the head in a mess bun.

                Well they where the class sweet hearts known to everyone as the real life Cory and Topanga. (Hello boy meets world anyone?)  But last summer before freshman year they had a fall out no one knows why. But Liza ended up moving away before freshman year was half over and no one saw her again.

                And the break up really hurt Luke, which gave him the whole Bad Boy image he has never been with any one or shown any girl any kind of affection the way he does to you. He actually is more the old Luke more around you then he ever was around Liza. What I am saying is he really likes you and more then you think because him and Liza dated for over three years you two have been together way three months max and they never went to shows or hung out with the guys like you two so keep a hold of him.

                And you hurt him we hurt you he is special to us so yea.” Kye says taking a long breathe after the speech.

                I just look around the table and I know they are expecting me to tell them that I already know this and that I can help them solve their mystery of why they broke up or why she left. But I can’t so I just keep silent hoping they will get the hint and move on with the conversation.

                “Um ok party details.” Rose says

                “Pretty much they guys through one huge party every year. Because there are seven guys instead of seven parties they have one which everyone looks forward to every year. It’s a huge thing. Imagine a huge pool party and sweet sixteen and New Year’s Eve party all smashed into one huge blow out well that’s what the party is every year.” Violet says

                “Ok enough talking let’s get shopping. We all have eight presents to buy minus Eve. Plus we have to find awesome swim suites for the party. I gotta say I love that you people date them so we have a heads up before the rest of the school.” Shay says as we all get up to leave and head into the actual mall.

                “What do you mean you all have eight presents to buy except me?” I question

                “Wow they really told you nothing about this party. well the guys made it clear your know a part of the family so you don’t but presents cuz the guys say the party is a present to each other. And so we have to get you a present as well as all the guys like every year. So um what would you want?” Addie asks

                I stop moving and finally let it sink in that I will actually be having a party. I absent mindly start jumping up and down and I have random mall goer’s stair at me as well as all the girls.

                “Um I’m sorry it’s just I’ve never had a party since I was like six.” I say with a shrug

                They all stair open mouthed at me before Rose speaks. “You have not had a party since you where six, how is that possible. “She questions

                “Oh guys don’t know. I moved in with the Bridges because I have been living between the streets and foster care since I was six when my parents died.” I say with a shrug and start to walk over to a sports store that has a jersey in it that I may get for Luke no matter what the rules say.

                Then I hear screaming coming from behind me and all the girls start to tackle me. And pull me in some random direction. “Ok this is going to be your best birthday yet we promise.” They all yell and then I just zone out as they all run around like chicken with their heads cut off.
