"Will you stop already?" I asked Sky who wouldn't stop poking my arm.
"I'm not stopping until you agree to apply for the job" she urged on.
"I don't know Sky"
"Come on it's just a little bar, I'll be with you the whole time" she whined.
I thought about it for a while, finally making a decision,"Fine I'll do it" Sky squealed as she threw her arms around me. I hesitantly hugged her back, awkwardly patting her back.
"You start tonight" She said her eyes wild.
"What?! I just agreed to it! Don't I need to go in for an interview or something?" I ask, panicked.
"Nope, I already got the OK to hire you, Jess"
"Alright, I should go get ready then" I sigh, standing from the couch in the living room. Sky catches my wrist and I stop, looking at her.
"You have to wear something a little revealing, it's the rules" She shrugs. I roll my eyes, throwing my head back whining. I trudged up the stairs to my room and pulled out a pair of acid wash shorts, Vans muscle tee, and red combat boots. I tied the muscle shirt into a knot on my side so I revealed a little bit of skin. I threw a red flannel over top to tie the look together. After smudging on some black eye shadow and mascara, and throwing my hair into a messy bun, i was downstairs in the kitchen getting something small to eat.
"You know what I noticed?" Asked Sky, scaring me in the process.
"What?" I asked, exhaling the breath I sucked in after being startled.
"You don't eat much"
"Does that make me inhuman?" I asked, taking an apple from the bowl on the counter.
"No, it's just unusual for an 18 year old teen, you know?"
"I guess"
I leaned against the counter, taking a bite from the bright red piece of fruit in my hand. A couple of seconds later Christian came from his room walking to what seemed to be me. He stood in front of me for a while, then reached behind me, never breaking eye contact. He winked at me then walked away back to his room.
"Woah, I don't know what that was but let's go. You have some training to do" She laughed, shaking her head as we walked out to her car.

"Now I'll start you off with just getting plain old glasses of beer, whisky, and vodka. I'm not teaching you how to mix stuff until later on. These are the shot glasses, and then.." My mind drifted away for a little bit, as I got the jist of the sizes of the glasses. I looked around the decent sized bar, dim lighting, multiple tables, chairs, stools at the bar, and a small dance floor. By now Sky had explained which alcoholic beverage was which and I was on my way. A man in his mid 30's called me over ordering the biggest Bud Light that I could give him. I nodded, spinning on my heel to retreive the glass. I held the crystal object under the spout letting the yellow liquid pour to the top. I slid the glass to the man in return for 5 bucks.
"Hey Sky?" I called over to her.
"Yes?" She asked, turning around.
"Where do I put this?"
"You keep anything you want, but you have to turn in at least 30 to 35 dollars in each night you work. Anything else that you get, it's up to you" She explains. I put the $5 in the cash register deciding to reach the goal of $30 before the night ends. I lean against the counter waiting for someone else to order a drink. The door swung open and a boy with dark chocolate brown hair, pushed back out of his face and gorgeous facial features. He wore just a plain white shirt with jeans and boots. He sat down a couple seats down from the 30 year old.
Just as I was about to walk over to him, the scraggly man burped and pushed his glass away. "Gimme another one" He demanded. I furrowed my brow, getting him another beer, placing it in front of him. I was rewarded with another $5 that I put into the register. I finally got over to the attractive boy leaning on the counter.
"What can I get you?" I asked him, smiling.
"Coors Light please" He looked up at me smiling. His voice wasn't as deep as i thought it would be but it was still very sexy. I grabbed the biggest glass we had filling it up and handing it to him. He pushed a $10 towards me and I gladly took it from him. "You new here?" He asked.
"Yupp, just started" I replied playing with my shirt.
"What's your name?"
"Jessalynn, but everyone likes to call me Jess"
"I'm Enzo"
"It's nice t-"
"Hey babe, can I get another one? But make it 3 shots of Seagrams, thanks" the guy slapped down a $20.
"I'll be right back" I sighed, picking up the money, then finding the vodka, filling up 3 shot glasses. After I placed the glasses in front of the pathetic man I made my way back to Enzo. "So, like I was saying, nice to meet you" I laugh holding out my hand, he shakes it in return smiling.
"Your eyes are gorgeous" He says .
"Thanks" I mumble looking down, suddenly interested in the patterns in the wood counter. He reached across the barrier between us, lifting my chin to look at him.
"No problem Jess" he chuckles.
"Um, do you need anything else?" I ask pointing to the various drinks behind me.
"No I'm fine thanks, but I think he's had enough for tonight" Enzo points to the guy 3 stools down, who is now passed out on the bar. I laugh with Enzo for a little while before going over to take all the man's empty glasses and placing them in the sink. When I turn around Enzo is gone and a napkin takes his place. Frowning I pick it up and read it:
It was nice talking to you tonight. Text/call me. ***-***-****
-Enzo
My frown disappears as I place the napkin in the back pocket of my shorts. I wash all the glasses from earlier then walk over to Sky who seems to be flirting with a guy. "Hey, I got my 35 for the night" I tell her.
"That's great! We only have half an hour before our shift is over!" She says, her strong accent present. I rested my back against the counter top waiting to see if anyone needed anything. Crossing my arms I checked my phone for the time. 12:48. Not to long Jess hang in there I thought to myself, taking a deep breath. I shoved the thought of me being tired to the back of my mind and got a couple more drinks for the people sitting at the bar. Before I knew it I was back at the house laying on the couch, when Christian walked in with some trampy looking girl..
